Hey guys, I need some help. I am getting ready to build a new swim platform from scratch for my 74 S&S. Does anybody know the basic dimensions on what would work on the S&S's? I don't want it to stick out too far and look goofy. I have attached a pic of what I want it to look like when it's done. Any advice would be appreciated.

That one looks right nice, what's it off of?

I honestly don't remember where I snagged it from- Whenever I see a good idea I save the pic in a "borrowed engineering" file.

I own a 79 SS, I have the original fiberglass platform, that I redid this winter. It measures approximately 16" wide by approx 56" long. I know this is not a very large swim platform but it looks great on the boat in the water and I wanted the original look. If you want some pics let me know

Don't worry 'bout it. I like seeing those white walls and baby moon hubcaps on your trailer, just the classic old MC look, sweet!

S.R.F- Thanks! A pic would be a great help on this one, I have to make the brackets as well. Are your brackets mounted inside of the stringers or outboard of the exhaust? This is one of the 'before' pics.

Mine is lagged and bolted directly thru the transom. The wood on the inside of the transom was pretty well done, I had my fiberglass guy reglass a new piece of wood to the inside of the transom to give a good anchoring point. Iwill charge up the cmera battery and post some pics in a bit

I've got plans drawn up for brackets off and 84 and I made a set for a 79 think they'd be pretty close for a 74 but not sure. I can email them to you if you'd like (shrinking them down to fit on this forum makes them hard to read). Your could have them made locally or I'd be willing to help out too. PM me an email ifr your interested. Travis
