Saw this on CNN sittin' at the bar by the pool tonight...there's a recall on pet foods that is causing kidney failure in dogs and cats...

Here's the link:

There are some major brands as part of the recall (Nutro, Iams and others).....

this gave me a real scare, cuz i have a habit of not buying the same wet food from time to time and i cant remember the names, and my dog stoped eating and drinking and was only sleeping (the signs they said to look out for) but my dog seems fine now. its nuts though! 51 dog food brands recalled!!
their saying that your dog or cat could die in a few days or 10 months from liver failure!!!!

HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN!!

I was so pissed when I saw that the food we feed our dogs was on this list. Our dogs are large, and we only feed them 1/2 can each day to supplement dry but still they were throwing up. Not often, and only on the one kind we happened to pick that was on the list....

My dogs are safe because I only feed them dry.

From what I heard it's the wet canned food and the pouches. Dry is supposedly unaffected since it is from a different manufacturer.

We use the dry Nutro for our pups...

Dry food is best even if wet wasn't recalled, my condolences to those who feed their pets wet food.
