I need to put new shocks on my 2000 Explorer, anyone have a preference on which ones to use. I don't have to pull the trailer very often, cause the boat stays in the lift.

I've used the Monroe Reflex shocks on a few vehicles and they do great. Ride is a little better than stock, depending on what stock is, and if you do have to do any pulling, they will handle the load very well. Offers a good ride when you want it, and the stiffness of a truck shock when it is under a load.

Thanks, Chevy

I was looking at the Monroe Reflex, plus they are on sale.

Are they buy 3 get 1 free, or do they just have a set amount off of each shock. I'd definately get them, and being on sale is just a good excuse to get a great shock for a better price.

I think it is buy 4 and get $20 off. Not much, but better than full price; have to save some for a new toy!

I would go with KYB or Bilstein. My friend put some Monroe's on his Dodge truck and two weeks laker he needed new shocks.....so he went with KYB's and no complants... I had Bilstein's on my Yukon after 100,000 miles one started leaking and sense the lifetime warranty only works if you buy the shocks aftermarket I needed to buy new shocks and so I also went with KYB's and can't tell the diffrence...and they were cheeper...
