Anyone know what is in the Team MC renewal this year? I am sure there will be the standard t-shirt, but am curious what else is in the kit.

The only thing I got this year besides the shirts was a chrome reciever hitch cover/insert with the MC logo.

I still have not received a 2005 membership renewal form. I typically get it pretty early in the year, so I don't know what's up. The chrome hitch cover was from 2004. I hope that this year they give us a choice of different items; there are some things that I just don't want or need any more of.

I just got my 2004 package yesterday.
I got my 2005 renewal yesterday. It has the same hitch cover as 2004. That blows! It is a cool hitch cover but I already have one. I guess I could put a hitch on the Volvo and "fly the colors". It would be nice if they would give you one of those cool high dollar shirts! I'm sure that they are made cheaper than the hitch covers!

I got my renewal in the mail yesterday. It was the same renewal card as last year. Since I don't qualify for membership I won't be renewing. I have had it confirmed that Ryan Noble is no longer with them and a new person is in place. It would be nice if they had at least annouced it here.

I just got my 2005 renewal form too. I can't believe it's the exact same thing as last year. It's ridiculous that a company that's supposed to be "The Leader and Pulling Farther Ahead" is so lax in staffing and maintaining their owner's club. With all the revenues and resources of this company, they seem to pay very little attention and put very little support to Team MC. It's obvious that they don't realize what an important asset this team is. If they don't put more effort into keeping the current owners happy and trying to achieve a sense of pride and unity, then MBO or SNO might.
I already sent them an email telling them that if the hitch cover is the only option then I won't be renewing this year. I offered to pay them $10 for my membership without a hitch cover, because I didn't even want the one I got last year. Why not offer some options of different things that are about the same price ($25)? I'm a charter member of Team MC and this would be tough, but the team has really gone downhill fast in the past few years, and it's no longer worth the price.
I suggest that everyone bombard them with emails (teammc@mastercraft.com) complaining about this, and offering to re-new only if they don't have to settle for the same old, same old every year.

I know MC doesn't put budgeting in place for Team MC. They try to get the membership fees to cover all activities for the year. I have sold them photos when the local photographer didn't get the shots they wanted and I did as a Team member. This was at the 30th reunion. If you check out the Team MC magazine for the 35th reunion announcement you will see my shots. Now that they have advertisers in the Team MC magazine they may get a better budget. Team MC is a step child of the marketing and advertising. Why put money in an area where people have boats already? Duh because we show what a quality products looks and performs like long after the warranty expires. It is truly in the best interest of the local dealer to have a local chapter and a couple activities a year. I think this shows in the photos from B.A.W.S.
and MC of Arkansas. It's a shame more dealers don't think like them. As for us on the board having our own reunions is easy, name a date and time, see who shows up. Go to your local dealer and beg for door prizes, then maybe he'll want to join in.
I'll step off the soap box now and give someone else a turn.

Hi Chris, and welcome. I didn't hear about Team MC until I had left the dealership, tucked the boat into the garage. Since then, I've heard mixed reviews. On the upside, it's only $35/$30 bucks and you get some nifty stuff. On the downside, I've heard of lots of delays and repeats on the nifty stuff received year to year. On such reviews, I've not yet joined. I certainly hope, under your command, that the TMC reviews improve. I've considered joining many times, but my compulsion to do so on past reviews has not been strong.
Good luck!

Hi CHris; I've been member for ~5years, and love the stuff I get every year and the Star is good. I have to say the hitch cover was not the best, but I use it. Backpack, softshell icechest, foamies, cd holder, t-shirts, and sure there were couple of other things have been great. My suggestion is to make the gift something that can be used IN the boat. Boat cleaning/maintenance kit? MC flag/streamer to hang on tower/bimini top? Nice MasterCraft logo towel? Several DVD's with skiing/wakeboarding and other water fun? Welcome and good luck!
Welcome Chris-Thanks for stepping up and introducing yourself? Are there any ideas on changing the package this year?-Tex-

Welcome Chris. I am a charter member and have enjoyed most of the package items. Even if you cannot set up a way to allow members to select what items they receive, it would be great just to have a digital photo of the package on the web site each year so that members know what they are getting for their money.
Thanks,

Chris, in my opinion you've already made a huge improvement over the previous Team MC leadership (I never met Ryan and I'm sure he was a nice guy, but not very responsive). The fact that you're on here is a very good sign that you care about what the owners think. Welcome aboard. Please see the previous postings on this thread and others that discuss Team MC issues, and I think you'll get an idea of what people like and don't like about the way Team MC has been doing things.
I corresponded with Barbara a lot when she was the Team MC coordinator. She always answered emails and was always willing to listen to my complaints, mostly about my local dealer and their total indifference to organizing any local Team MC events. She usually was unable to do anything about them, but she always replied. I hope that you will talk with some folks about how things used to be when she was around. Harold Page (Team MC member #10001) would be a good person to contact (he's nota member of this forum).
Please make sure that your management understands how important our "Team" is to us. If you peruse the postings on this forum you'll begin to get a good idea of the comraderie that has developed between many members here, even though most of us have never met. We come from all parts of the country (both the red and the blue states :)) and from abroad , from all walks of life, and from all sorts of opinions about things; the one bond that we all have is our passion for MasterCraft boats. This passion is what keeps us as loyal customers, and a big part of what attracts others to want to join the ranks of MC owners.
When I first joined this forum I was almost jealous of the relationship that many of the members had with each other. They were constantly giving jabs and harassing each other (as only friends can do). I wanted to be a part of that, but I've tried hard to never force my way in. I don't post as much as I used to because I've gotten a lot busier, but I still enjoy the banter between the other members. [as "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" fades in the background]
BTW, I really like the idea of a beach towel with Team MC embroidered on it.

Chris,
Welcom aboard and it's good to see that you're soliciting feedback.
I think making options for the package is a brilliant idea, I would much rather have an extra t-shirt than the trailer hitch thing. Also, it would be nice to see some plain t-shirts back in the store. I'm not sure how much input you have with this but some regular t-shirts with Mastercraft on it would be nice to see at a reasonable price.
I'm sure others will pipe in with what they would like to see, but if you need any help don't hesitate to let us know what you need.

Welcome Chris.
We've had discussion threads about Team MC and other MC issues before, but no one from the company (to my knowledge) has ever stepped in to actively communicate with us. In my opinion, it's a big step forward. Thanks!
Many of the TeamTalk discussions have surrounded the Team MC package (Mainly, contents and timely delivery). Your interaction here will hopefully help resolve these issues. In addition, there's probably a lot more that can be done.
My personal frustration, has been with Company communication (or lack therof)
Some examples include:
- The last minute cancellation of the West Coast reunion in the footnote of an Email message.
- No notification regarding discontinued upholstery skins at the end of last year
- Very little or no response to the "Suggestion" section on TeamTalk.
- No response regarding gelcoat cracking problems experienced by some owners.
If you're looking for feedback...The polling system on the board could prove to be a great resource for you. Perhaps a monthly Email newsletter including a link to the TeamTalk site (to respond to a poll etc.) would get more owners to frequent TeamTalk and/or become Team MC members.
Just some thoughts. Thanks again for sticking your chin out there.
P.S. The idea of choosing a Team MC package is great. Maybe "suggested items" could be included in a poll on TeamTalk.
P.S.S. Not everyone here is a "gentleman". We have posters of the female persuasion, as well.

Chris,
Welcome aboard!
Regarding the Team MasterCraft items in the annual renewal packet, I know it sounds kind of petty, but we need to get the certificates back! What the certificate was just a piece of paper saying that I was a member of TMC for the year, etc. I have all mine framed and hanging in my garage. A few years back, they were not included in the packets for whatever reason  , so I would up going to Kinkos and having new ones made with the respective years on them. So it looks like I actually got them all :D .
Otherwise, the hitch covers are nice but I already have a few (and the wife won't let me buy any more trucks tp put them on! :D ).
Hope all of us can help you out in any way we can to make things alot better than some of us have experienced in the past.
Look forward to talking with you. :toast:

Funny story about shortly after we moved in our new house after we got married. My wife was out of town and she had called and asked what I was doing at home. I told her that I was hanging up pictures. She said that was very thoughtful of me and she couldn't wait to get back to our house and see what I did, knowing that I was starting to make our house more of a "home."
Little did she know that when she was gone I hung up all my waterski memorabilia in the garage (kinda looked like a museum at the end of the day). But I think the thing that made her really mad was the fact I hung up a MasterCraft poster (in a frame of course) in the hallway that lead from the utility room to the kitchen. The poster was that one with a wooden shack, an old truck and a new X-Star with the caption reading "Priorities."
ps-Forgot to mention that all pictures of our families and friends (nt-waterskiing related were still in the den in boxes! :D
To this day, the MC Poster remains in the hallway (and we have put up pictures of our families now).

Towel does sound good. With all the ideas it seems as if we should create some organized method of expressing them. Chris, is there any way that a poll can be designed so that we could provide our "wants" in an order such as 1 = most want to 10 = least want?

I have been a member now for a number of years now, my wife renews my membership for Christmas each year. I figure the T-Shirt is “almost” worth the fee.
I was disappointed not to get a decal this year. I was hoping of using it when I repaint my trailer this spring.
Of all the thing I have, I only use a few, such as:
Coffee Cup, a must during the early morning runs
Sunglass Case: Great place to keep my glasses when I am skiing
2nd Sunglass Case: Use it in the truck
CD Case: Actually my daughter stole it from me.
Decals: back window of truck
Water bottle: Daughter uses it at basketball games. I actually drove 60 miles round trip to retrieve it once from a restaurant where she left it.
Speeder-rooter with float: That comes in handy
Key Float: Saved me from diving at least on one occasion.
As for the picture cube, pens, mesh swim bag and other useless stuff, it is all stuffed into the backpack. The new hitch cover will go in there as well.
I like the idea of a embroidered MC towel. That is something we can all use.
Oh yea, what about a TMC Calendar? ( Good idea if it doesn’t come a year late)
PS: After reading this, I guess I do use quite a bit of the stuff...... this year sucked though.

When I joined last year I got:
1) TMC backpack (still in the plastic)
2) T-shirt (not in the original kit-had to email them to get it)
3) TMC card
4) MASTERCRAFT steel key chain (steel?? in a boat)
not to mention #4 came with the shirt at a later date
speedo rooter would be cool
towel would be cool
cd case a must
sunglass case pretty cool
STICKERS VERY COOL
In general how about stuff we can use

Mastercraft martini glasses would be put to good use! No, really, they would!

Keep your eye on ebay for them. I bought my Summit Kegerator off a guy in Dallas who quit drinking.
Or, if you're mechanically inclined, pick up a cheap deep freeze, old refrigerator, or mini-fridge, drill a hole in the top, install a tap tower (around $40), and pick up a Johnson controls temperature regulator (about $65). Theres plenty on the net about building a kegerator for a couple of hundred bucks.
Anybody know what Bu or SN owners pay and get?

About the only thing I don't use is the hitch cover.
The mesh bag was Awsome!!! We'd like more of those.
The shirts are always nice
Very disappointed in no-stickers this year. I bought a "new to me" truck & don't have a MC sticker for it yet.
The CD holder was nice, but once is enough for that.
Love that metal key chain - it floats real nice! (once was 1 time too many on that.)
Sunglass case is really nice. I especially like the snap.
Absolutely love the Backpack
The Sample of wax & upholstrey cleaner was nice
Do I even need to bring up the MC Beer COOLIES?
What I'd like to see in the future:
MORE STICKERS
Shirts, of course.
maybe a RC boat for a small additional fee?
Towells are a great idea.
Another Mesh bag or 2
More Beer Coolies
That's all I can come up with. There's a real good reason why I don't work in marketing :D

I like the shirts, we use the hell out of the mesh bag and the koozies are great.
The hitch cover is ok, I gave the backpack to Jimmer, the CD case we don't really use, nor do we use the sunglass case.
I'd like to see more koozies, key chains that float, a ball cap, towels, stickers, maybe a pen, coffee mug.

Have to chime in. Also been a TMC member for quite a while. Glad to see Chris getting involved. I remember Barbara, she helped me out a couple times w/ extra Tour stop tix.
Couldn't use the hitch cover, ball always stays on truck. Stickers & T-shirts are always a plus. Towels are the best idea I have heard yet. I guess I am the only one that loved the backpack. I have everything in it (tools, 3-4 towels, emerg $$$, place for wallet, keys, etc...) I use this bag EVERY time I go on my boat, and it is even better when I go on someone else's boat (espc. a non-MC, lol)
All of the suggestions so far have been good, and I love the idea of choosing our package.

We are doing testing on it next Monday. All you will have to do is go to the main page of tmcowners.com, then click join the team. I will let everyone exaclty when the page is up. It should be the first part of next week. So please stay tuned. The delivery time of packages is going to be faster also!!

Way to go TMC! I'm hoping for a MasterCraft beach towel option  but sure you'll have good stuff regardless.
It is time for me to renew-any news on the products?

The hitch cover again? How many trucks do they think we own? After buying an MC most of us don't have money for more than 1 truck! I'd rather have stickers. Don't they listen? Where did that guy from MC go? We gave him a nice stack of suggestions for swag and most of it would be cheaper for them to provide. I'm saving my $$ this year. There's no events anywhere near me, I have a ton of gray MC t-shirts, and don't need another hitch cover (my ball mount actually rusted in this year so I can't even use the one I already have at the moment  )

Seems like being a Team Mastercraft member should be considered a premium by the member and by Mastercraft. Can't think of a better "salesperson" for Mastercraft than team members.
With the new "Mastercraft By Design" it shouldn't be too difficult to have a piece made only for Team Members that would be put ON THE BOAT showing membership status. This part or selection of parts ONLY available to team members.
In additon, love the t-shirts but they have got to improve quality of the shirt over last year's shirt. It is neat to go to reunions and see everyone wearing their shirts some from many years ago.

The new membership page is not up yet. If you look at the previous page on this thread you'll see that "TMC" says the items will be different and that the new page will be up this week. :D

I called TMC this week and found out that Chris Wingo (that is his name I think that runs TMC) is out sick this week. They said he will be back on Monday so I am sure he will update us when he gets back. I hope so anyway... can't wait to see the new site.

Page is up... I tried renewing my membership but there seems to be a script error that keeps me from processing the order...
Finally got mine in this year. I am still wondering what happened to last years stuff.

Ditto on the beach towel; great idea! Also ditto on the hitch. Didn't use the 1st one; certainly don't need a second. If you must repeat an item, bring back the USA flag shirt from 2002. It was great! Or you can just send me any XL's you have lying around. :D
site is up-i just renewed-hat, nice shirts! no beach towels-other then that-it looks like they listened to us-basic cool designs! Great job! now just get it to me before June!

TTAdmin, will the Team products be for sale at any time other than during renewals? I just received my 2005 renewal kit last week (same as 2004) so I won't be renewing again until next year.

Good Job Chris at MC, Items look much better, and it is so nice to have a choice of what you'll get. One suggestion would be to make all items avalable for purchase also.

I got my notice to renew today. I was surprised to find that for your annual membership; you now get to select "3" items; 1st was a cap (3 different colors); 2nd was about 3 womens or 3 mens t-shirts or another cap and 3rd was a 2nd t-shirt or a 3rd cap. I picked 2 t-shirts and a cap for my renewal. Of course I get a new t-shirt every year (tradition), but allowing us to choice 2 others items was cool.
I think MC is on the right track, don't need another cap, but could have picked interior cleaner or may be a $20 gift certificate toward the purchase of something else (like a $50 jacket).
Good luck!
Well done on the upgrades. I am now looking forward to renewing.
George we will keep all ideas and thoughts about package items in mind and on the table! Glad to see the new renewal site is getting positive feed back. Thanks!!
I must ask..... I bought a new MC in late 04 & the salesman told me they signed me up for TMC.
I received a star magazine rather soon after the boat order, but never received any of the goodies mentioned here.
Are the premiums reserved for renewals or do they ship packages only quarterly, or only while supplies last, or how does it work?
Some here complain of hitch covers and/or tshirts but being a 1st timer, I'd like items such as these.

Looks good. I finally got some shirts for the soon to be wife. She was 'MC-less' which wasn't good. I would definitely add my request for stickers and beach towels to be added to the mix. A big improvement over previous years though!

TT Admin - I posted this in another thread but I thought I would try it here as well. I received my notice to renew my membership through e-mail last week. I am glad that I can get my e-mail on renewal (membership expires in July) but I never received my Winter copy of Star magazine. I went in to look at the new renewal process and decided that what the heck, everything is improving so I will give it a try. When I made my selection of the red hat and 2 baseball shirts I got a message "Item is out of Stock" and it went back to the screen where you input information and all of my info had been wiped out. I tried two or three more times selecting different items and kept getting the same message. Is there a problem or are items out of stock? Couldn't there be some way to say items and specifically which ones are out of stock and not clear out all of you information?
