It's about 120 miles from Plainfield. But if you want to get on the water right now, Clinton Lake was 57 - 62 degrees yesterday. It's a power plant lake. They open up the really warm side of the lake April 1, which typically adds another 5 degrees to the water. We ski'd Sat and Sun, it was great to be on the water. We're Headed back Tuesday night. Hopefully the soreness will be gone. Our lake 10 miles away is still froze.

If you make it down, stop by.....

You would be more than welcome. Friday we picked up our new Tournament Team 197 and a new X-14. We ski'd at the factory on Friday afternoon with the 197 and then headed home. Used the 197 all weekend. If I get time to get the X-14 ready for Tuesday, I'm hoping to take it out and see how it runs.

This time of year. We go out for quick runs when the air temp and wind conditions allow us to. It is usually a spur of the moment type of outing.

If you see an opening, let me know, if the conditions are good enough, I'll go out.

In the summer, we pull people everyday, all day at the shop. Our busy season will be June 1 - Oct 1. Most of the time last year we were booked two weeks in advance.

As you look forward, I will be in Mexico skiing March 23 - April 1......Ski Paradise. We have a group of 8 headed to Acapulco.

Once we are back, we should be around most of the time.

From what I heard, there is still ice in the actual ramp, and the water is EXTREMELY high.

I am going to try and drive past there tonight.

Paul, what boat are you going to have for this summer if the X30 sells?

I love my mechanic because he keeps me boating with the family. I would love to pay him in beer and pizza. I never bought a 95 dollar pizza.

Eric, Not announcing that I have a new Xstar till the X-30 is sold, you never know if you have to sell the new boat if the old boat don't sell:(

I meant to say Lake Clinton water temp....
We ski'd there 3 out of 4 days. Temps varied between 57 and 62 close to the bridge by the hot water outlet. On Tuesday it was too windy to get close to the bridge so we had to ski against the south shore. Temps were 54 - 56. Even then we found ourselves just floating in the water, no hurry to get out. Dry suits are the only way to go.

May try again this weekend, but with highs in the mid 40's, it will be shorter runs. Water will be fine, but the air will be cold on the forehead.

I am thanking my wife for making me get heated seats in the new boat.

Doug Meeker

Ski'd Clinton again the weekend. Saturday the water was 53-56. The air was at 40 when we started and got all the way up to 42 as we headed in. Conditions weren't too bad with the wind, but heading back in to it, I got the worst instantaneous ice cream headache of my life.

We were smarter on our second sets. Everybody wore stocking caps and would set down after 8 or 10 turns. Put your hands in the water to warm up and go again. The short runs and stocking cap made it OK.

Tried to ski yesterday on our lake. Water was 42 and air was 42. Decided it was too cold for slalom, so I just wakeboarded with a dock start and stop. Not bad since I stayed dry and had closed toe bindings.

Hurry up summer.
