I've done a few searches but have not found the definitive answer. It seems the height is pretty close. Is there anyone that fits their X9 in a 7 ft garage? Are there any tricks to folding the tower, ect... Thanks..

Can't tell you for sure because I have an X7 but my boat will not fit under a 7 ft door. It takes about 7' 4".

What year X9? They changed the tower in 2005 and it should be lower....

My 2001 fit - but the tower rubbed the trim on the garage (leaving a mark). Really tight but I was able to do it. Wouldn't want to take it in and out on a regulare basis though....

a 2002 X9. Sounds like it may be within an inch or 2. I could remove the trim board. What I'm really wondering is if I should bite the bullet and raise the header, or gamble and see if I can fit it.

What I'm really wondering is if I should bite the bullet and raise the header, or gamble and see if I can fit it.I went through this last year after I added a ZeroFlex tower to my 99 210VRS. When the tower was folded I needed about another 4" to clear a 7' door height. I contemplated raising the header, but ended up using one of those race car jacks (picked it up at Costco for $99, very low profile), and now I roll the boat in using the roller jack without using the trailer drop down wheel. So essentially, the tounge is now about 3" from the ground using the roller jack and it just clears my 7' opening. May want to consider this as an option to raising the height of the header.

great idea, thanks. That's a significant amount of clearance you gained from lowering the tounge.

Just curious, does your toward fold backward or foward. My tower on an 06 x1 comes nowhere close to fitting in a 7ft door.

I don't have the boat yet because I have to make sure it will fit. I had to promise "the supreme leader and ruler of the house" (that's what she makes me call her) no storage fees. I'm pretty sure the tower folds forward on a 2002 X9. I'm hoping the highest point will be towards the front of the boat so lowering the tounge will make a difference.

Did you buy your boat at Action? I am about an hour south of Action in Sister Lakes. Still ice on the lake - couting the days...
