Anyone (Mark) want to give me a lesson on down sizing an animated avatar without losing the animation? Simply resizing in MS Photo Editor doesn't work.

Doug; How about getting TTADMIN to allow up to say 130X130? I think it take special SW, Ifranview won't do this.

That would be nice, but Mark doesn't seem to be having any trouble with his purple nerple.

Yes! The best one's were all above 80x80! I watched the "more cowbell" clip again, that one is great! That purple chub-a-lub is 75x75. When we get an editing tool can't wait to make a real MC one! I thought I could with my Adobe, but I'm not that smart yet.....

Yup, you said it. I could be making you guys laugh hysterically with my funny avatar right now, but oh well.

And didn't I post that "More Cowbell" pic on here a while back?

There are some good ones at www.hotavatars.com. The better of the animateds are too big though. 130 x 130 would do it. I had the same problems with them today. The spanking Barney is just the right size.

It's not just the number of pixels, it's the size (<19.5Kb). I had the Purple Nerple hula-hooping, but it was too big.

Cool Avatar Doug. It took me awhile to figure out who it was, but then I realized it's Freddy Freeloader from the old Red Skelton show. Right? Great show.

Actually, that's Trey Anastasio, a guitar player/song writer fomerly of the band Phish. The image is from a 2001 concert ticket from his solo tour captioned "El Trey."

Leroy
01-19-2005, 05:35 PM
Doug; You will need a program for doing that. For example you can download the following program as a demo/trial. It's very easy then.

I've done it and never had done anything like this before. With this program you can resize, change the speed, add delete pictures and edit each pix of the animation. Very easy program. Thank Milkman for turning me on to this!

Actually I was just kidding about Freddy Freeloader. I really thought that it was supposed to be Clint Eastwood from "Fistful of Dollars" or one of those westerns (although he never actually smiled in any of them). Shows how much I know about popular music these days.

01-20-2005, 02:25 PM
You know, I bet it is a "Fistful of $$" parody. Don't worry, it was never popular unless you went looking for it. Little if any radio play. Yet, still, during the latter its existence, one of the top touring acts in the country. Also, and only mentioning it because I was there, the largest millenium new year's eve gathering on the planet.
