I need to replace my trailer jack this spring. I see it mounts on with a snap ring thing that holds it to this bracket that is part of the trailer. (91 prostar 190) and I need to know what to replace it with? I see they have them in Overtons, but they look like they mount on with big U bolts around the trailer frame. Is that the only thing available these days? or can I get a replacement for it? any ideas??
Thanks for any help provided. :)

UMP, take your jack off and go to Northern Tool or anywhere that sells jacks and find a match that works at the swivel, get a part #, then shop on-line for price if you can't buy it cheap locally. Remember, locally has no shipping, yet it may be cheaper online, but shipping may make it a wash.

marine style

you'd have to unsnap the bracket off and snap it onto the MC trailer

Thanks Milk. :) I will check SKIDIM.com too. they may have something for me too. I should probably call them and overtons and ask them. That last one you posted looks like the one.

UMP, I bought one from Overton's a few years back, before I knew about this site and it's wealth of info! I lucked out, and was able to simply remove the large snap ring on each, and swap them out. I agree the best bet might be to bring yours into a Northern Tool or equivalent, and see if they have one that matches exactly.
Good luck!
Kevin

Wow, has this been a chore. I would never have though it would be so hard to find a snap ring style mount trailer jack. I have looked on the net, very hard to find. Called several places, and nobody stocks them. The one I currently have is a 1000lb Bulldog brand which I assume came with the trailer when it was new. I just want to replace it with an equivelent. But I dont want to use the new bolt on style if I dont have to. The snap ring style is already on there and I might as well use the mount for it. I called Fulton and they said the snap ring style are being kinda overshadowed by the newer bolt on style. They still offer a TJ1055 model or TJ1255 that would specifically fit mine, but where to find one???
