I have a 1990 Prostar 190. My family has really gotten into wakeboarding. I was wrestling with either buying a tower or an extended pylon. For my use the extended pylon made more sense. I was able to get a Skylon extended pylon off of ebay for less than half of what they sell for brand new. I am looking forward to trying this pylon out in the spring.

Bought one off of someone here on TT and havent looked back for the level we are at with our wakeboarding it does just exactly what we need. And there are no issues with the boat fitting in the garage. Simplicity at it's finest.

Make sure you tighten the u-bolts that hold the pylon to the bracket in the hull and tighten the bolts holding the bracket to the stringers. The 1st time I used a skylon I found out how loose mine were...its rather nerveracking to see your pylon moving much

Have one as well. It is a nice feature, particuarly if you have board racks on it. You can get boards and ropes off the floor.

I have a skylon ("Fly High" model I think) for my '89 ProStar, it works great - at least for me - I'm an intermediate boarder on a good day.
Even with my 2 small fat sacks filled, there just is not enough wake to get much air. I may experiment with loading the boat down more this summer. I rode once behind a wakeboard boat, thought I launched to the moon!
Good luck,
Kevin

Anyone use the skylon for footin' longline? I'm thinking of buying more for that purpose than wakeboarding.
