anyone tried the performance chips?

I use Hypertech's power programmer on my 97 suburban, but my 95 suburban will have to use the hard coded chip. (no tunability)

there are two Hypertech chips offered for my truck
Hypertech Performance Chip H58351751 ThermoMaster

Hypertech Performance Chip H58351752 Street Runner
no claim of performance increases by numbers

and only one Superchips chip for my truck.
Superchips Performance Chip #2905
HP Increase +21 hp, Torque Increase +39ft/lb

only $3.00 difference between the two companies:rolleyes:

I won't leave you hanging...
Well I guess I will, I have never used one on a gas engine. Now on a diesel, everyone I know with a diesel has a programmer. Quadzilla seems to be the most popular one with the blue oval guys I hang out with. They make a gas tuner, but there again, no experience.

I have a friend that chipped his porsche and one that chipped his VW, but never anyone that has chipped a truck!

I used a hypertech chip in my '91 Z28. I recall it running hot. And it by itself didn't make enough differcence to do it again.
I can't think of anyone I know that chipped a gas job truck, sorry.

Maybe it's because we would prefer to not blow the trans out of them..
