Last Wednesday, my brother-in-law had his trailer stolen out of his driveway. 3 Place Aluminum trailer with two 2006 Polaris Fushions, 1 700 and 1 600.

The sleds were recovered a couple of miles away on a dead-end road where the theives stopped and tipped the sleds off the sides of the trailer. One got hung up on the trailer and was dragged until it came loose.

From the fall and landing upside-down, the hoods are broken, handlebars bent, covers torn.....pretty sad sight. Trailer has not been found.

Police are reviewing the surveillance tapes from area businesses along the path that was driven in hopes of finding the vehicle involved.

Pretty sickening to see that happen to beautiful machinery.....

I HATE thieves.........It's bad enough that they steal from others. But then they have to destroy what they've stolen? Hope they catch them.

Stolen from outside of Fond du Lac.

Not sure why they dumped the sleds....amateur thieves who understand traceability of registered sleds. Trailers are hard to track down. Sleds are easy to track down in whole...guess they didn't have the means to part them out.

That suks..... You are right. Trailers rarely if ever get checked for tags. So tracking it would be a huge task.

Not to mention - it's pretty easy to say it's a "home made" trailer & get a new VIN made.
