S&S transmission problem??(I guess)

I have a 82 S&S with a PCM engine and a powerslot trans. Yesterday, While I Was Skiing and i hear something strange. When you put full throttle in the start, the rpm goes near 4500 (slipping) then go down to the normal level and stay OK while you ar skiing. This problem happens only in the starts and some timies, not always.

I check the trans fluid level and it was low. I fill it with ATF but the problem come back again.

For example, if you make 10 starts (with or without skier), the problem appear about 5 times.

Any idea????

Blue;
The forward/reverse action internal to the transmission is hydraulically controlled. Line pressure (to hold in gear) must be low or dropping off. If the oil level in the transmission is proper and it still revs like you describe, then you will need to look deeper or have someone look into it who can perform the tests.
