I spent some time talking with him at Footstock last year and along with everything else, he is a great guy. He said Footstock was a good diversion from his usual training schedule (guess it paid off) and he really seemed to be having a good time there. I was impressed that with worlds just around the corner, he made the trip to Crandon and had no attitude that he was "above" a figure 8 tourny.

No Skeez...have you visited KSO before? I was talking to him at Footstock and he said there was a guy who came down once a year from WI. I was wondering if that was you?

Sorry, not me. This is my first time at any barefoot school, although I've been footin' for almost 10 years. Hopefully I don't have too many bad habits I have to try to break!

Anyone have any suggestions as far as getting prepared? I know my first day on the water is gonna hit me hard, with lots of sore muscles the next day. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Atl - I don't know how the friendly folks at the airport would enjoy me showing up with a few cases of anything, much less green GRENADES...

Thats OK.....I spent my college days not far from where Leines is made. The standing line in those days was "Big Eddie is a horse" since part of the label read something to the effect of "Brewed with pure water from the Big Eddie Springs".:D

ATL- There are a few of us comin down... At least 4 that are interested in the race, and then a few spouses as well. If nothin else, we'll just watch it at the HoJo, but I was just curious if you had any recommendations for a good sports bar or something.

Thanks!

One week and counting to ski school! The plans have changed a bit, as now we are only skiing with Keith for a day and a half... But that should still be enough to take away a few key concepts...

We were going to be there for 3 days, but decided against it. Now we're skiing a full day on Monday and a half day Tuesday. Either way, I'll be lucky if I can walk after a day and a half, after not being on the water in over 5 months!

This week at work is taking FOREVER!

KSO at Footstock 2006 with my Son.

I have a Video where I asked him if he could predict a Top 5 finish, Chris Morrison was asleep in the chair next to him...woke him up...KSO finished #5 at Footstock 2006.
We also got to stay with KSO, some BF friends, Brett Neww and the Australian BF team at a Friend's Cabin up in the hills...Some Cabin it was...

ATL - what does your schedule look like for next week? If the offer is still on the table, I'd love to get a little extra footin' in. Keep me posted! Also, did you ever think of some place to catch the race on Sunday?

Is it drysuit weather down there yet? We're trying to pack as light as possible, and not bringing drysuits would help tremendously.

Thanks for all the feedback, you've helped a ton with this trip!

Yeah, checkin the weather it looks like there's a cold front coming through. All in all though, that's like a warm May day for us here in WI, so I think we're going to rough it without drysuits. Heater shirts for sure though.

Hooter's doesn't even come close. No other restaurant comes close to these wings!

I arrive at St Pete / Clearwater at around 2:30, and the race is scheduled to start at 3:15. It's probably gonna be tight getting there by then, but we'll see what happens. Were you hoping to ski on Sunday? Otherwise we are done at noon on Tuesday with Keith. Everyone else in the group is heading to South Beach later Tuesday afternoon, but my flight doesn't leave til Thursday morning. If it fit your schedule, I would hopefully be in good enough condition to get a set or two in on Wednesday. Keep me posted, and again, a big thanks for your help!

I was hoping to foot on Sunday, if possible as we foot every weeknd.
If not and you want to go again on Tuesday after foot'n w/ KSO, we can.
Then again, there always Wednesday.

Either way, call me and we'll get in both some sets and some beers:friday:
