We all know who the best was. The more interesting question would be: "Who was the second best?"
Daniel Craig IMO.

I agree! My vote would be Peirce Brosnan... he had the whole suave, devinare thing down... IMO!!

It's funny how most people tend to pick the Bond they remember growing up with. I actually missed that boat since I grew up with Brosnan but absolutely without a doubt think Connery is the king. Like Sheppard said second is tough. I think Brosnan edges out Moore slightly but then again I grew up with Brosnan.

Much better question. Connery certainly gets top honors. I'll go with Daniel Craig, too. Remington never really did it for me. I liked Moore not for his acting, but for the fact that he had the role when I saw my first one.

In a review of On Her Majesty's SS, I recall someone saying that it would've been many a person's favorite if Connery had made it his swan song instead of sitting it out only to return to stink it up in Diamonds are Forever.

The whole sequence in the kilt really kills it for me though.

Connery was best, but I put in for Moore so he'd get second....If HB can switch his favorites all the time, so can I.....

Though not an official Bond film (Warner brothers rather than United artists) Released the same year as octopussy. One of my favorite bonds. The old guy still had it. Chicks were hott to (kim Basinger, Barbara Carrera).

I like Sean or Timothy...Roger and Pierce both had something in common with the first letter of Pierce's name. Bond was cool but ruthless!

Plus, Roger never ordered a martini. He just accepted them.

I just mixed me a gin martini. Had to get into the spirit! Read this about Bond on Wikpedia...All can't be right...I just saw him have an Oozo on another channel.

He also has an amazing knowledge of wines and spirits. Bond is famous for ordering his vodka martinis "shaken, not stirred." In the novel Moonraker, he drinks a shot of vodka straight, served with a pinch of black pepper; a habit he picked up working in the Baltic region. This was not for the flavour, he explains, but because it caused the impurities in cheap vodka to sink to the bottom. He also drinks and enjoys gin martinis, champagne, and bourbon. According to www.atomicmartinis.com Bond consumes 317 drinks of which 101 are whisky, 35 sakes, 30 glasses of champagne and a mere 19 vodka martinis.
