I just got a quote on getting my entire drivers seat recovered, not including vinyl (which i already own) $240... Anyone got a better suggestion? I can't find any 90 190 skins for the driver seat, although i haven't called MC yet...

Suggestions or is $240 just what it is?

Based on what I've read here, that is high. I've read a lot of posts on the subject. I'm sure a lot of guys will chime in. I think entire interiors go about $2500 - $3000. But maybe doing one piece is proportionately more.

Does anyone know of any secrets to get this guy to respond? I have been calling him on his cell phone (a previous thread stated that is the best way to contact him) for the last 4 weeks, but to no avail. I would really like to use his services because he comes so highly recommended, but I've got to talk to him first.

Thanks for any insight.

For the 93, the OEM skin for seat base was $45--50. The seat back, although different than your 190, was a bit complex (as seams go), so I wouldn't be surprised if it ran $150 or so. Unless you find somebody who ordered and boxed them, you may not be able to get the original stuff. In the FAQ, there's contact info for a guy who, at least at one point, was making skins using the OEM vinyl (former MC vinyl man). I'd try him first. Good luck.
