Now in a situtaion such as that, I wonder if there's a "fault clause" somewhere in the tow'n contract as to which party is held responsible. :o

the fact that someone can be smart enough to pass the exam to get a pilot's license and dumb enough to try that amazes me.

I have seen this before. What a bunch of knucleheads... I hope everyone was OK!

In Oct 2004, at the World Speed Ski Race in Long Beach, CA. I saw a chopper go down in the water literally 400' off the bow of my boat. The Chopper was hovering about 200' off the water, suddenly climbed to about 500', went sideways about 300' and then straight down into the water. Luckily, all the Fireboats, Lifeguard boats and Paramedics were there for the race, so they were on scene immediately. Everyone was OK, but it did sink. Pretty crazy though!!

Amazing no one was killed. If the chopper would have pivioted the other way before going in the water the rotors and blades would have diced up the boat and occupants like a head of lettuce What idiots
