I'm on here once in a while if I can't sleep or something, but I am usually the only member here, yet there are always a few "guests". 4535 members vs 3 mil in the country, I just figured the outsiders had us outnumbered!

Here's the only thing you guys need to worry about...

Also, crawlers can be used to gather specific types of information from Web pages, such as harvesting e-mail addresses (usually for spam).

Don't put your email address on the web unless you want spam.

I guess as far as a webcrawler is concerned, yes...

Now, if you don't want that crazy kook in the UP calling you, I wouldn't post it on this forum! :D

Never, never, I learned early! My kind brother-in-law used to send me e-mails for sites and programs he uses and when he sent the info to me, apparently it went to the sites too and then they hit me hard. I now have it all sent to a seperate file that deletes it automatically, because they did not have it set up to unsubscribe on their sites. you live and learn. Thanks for the info!

Google and Yahoo, for example, have bots/web crawlers/spiders all over the web indexing web sites at any given time. Relative to Team Talk, it's the reason that this site comes up at the top of Google when you enter "swimsuit thread (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=swimsuit+thread&btnG=Google+Search)" into that search engine.

Here's an example from today on a site I admin:
