I seem to remember seeing a copy & paste of an old ad for mid 80's S&S used to illustrate the interior construction. It got me thinking, I would really like an original ad for my boat. It is an 84 S&S, anybody have an idea where I might find one; in a perfect world it would be a poster, but maybe a mag ad or boat show flyer??????

I am going to stick it in a frame and put it on the wall of my garage where I keep the boat and fridge.

Any ideas appreciated

Cool picture. Love the fact that it still has a trick release attached.

ooooh yeah!

Where could a guy find an original? Or, while I'm fishing, where did that pic of the chickens waterskiing in NYC behind the S&S come from?

If you ever buy a new boat, you gather all the brochures, magazine articles, other marketing materials along with the owners manual, purchase paperwork, invoices, receipts, packing slips (includes part nos.), installation instructions, templates, correspondance, etc. and keep it in a ziplock bags or notebooks protected, so when you sell or trade the boat all that info can accompany the boat. You just hope the next owner values it as much as you do and doesn't throw it all away. If you buy used, you find the stuff (e-bay, etc.) and pay for it, when otherwise it is free. I have (10), 1" ring binders nearly full of stuff over 18 years.

Me too, I am ate up, I have speedo templates, original engine manual, installation instructions for the weed pick up system for Airguide speedometers, and the original owners manual for a 79 SS I bought brand new for around $9500 bucks. The owners manual features a 79 Corvette by the waters edge with a beautiful woman dressed in a white evening gown and some silly guy with her...
The front of the manual states:

"The MasterCraft Concept"
To set you apart from the crowd
Route 9
Marysville Tennessee 37801

Some things never change...

Wish I could scan it and post it, it is a classic with stars all along the perimeter. ANyone remeber "Spray" magazine? I also have an origianl subscrition folder for 1 year at $8:cool:

FWIW, that's not a '79 vette, more like an '84 or '85. I assume that S&S is a 1984 as well. One of the prettiest S&S's I've ever seen!
Nice pic!

YOU are right, that was out of the 84 brochue. I believe they recreated that ad a few times with current MC's and vettes.
and I thought nobody would notice.
