Dude what's up? 2 double posting....PWI?

I'd buy two but if it's going to be sold through the master craft store I could probably only afford the months of September and Ocotber.

If it's $10-15 per calendar I might be able to treat myself.

Professor
01-04-2005, 11:30 PM
Not via the Mastercraft Store? I guess Mastercraft would not have a "trademark" issue with calling it ... the Mastercraft Calendar or ???

Thanks Bri! Good idea.

This wont be a Mastercraft calendar. It is a tmcowners/member calendar. For info please visit this thread.

http://www.tmcowners.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=1377

ATTENTION: I will need everyone to post here as well so I know who said yes and how many.

Thanks everybody!!

Who knows, but they don't go after that guy on eBay selling fake trailer guide pads and shock tubes. I'm sure they would be thrilled that we are going to make a 100 calendars to advertise their product at no cost or manpower to them. Although, maybe one of Doug's law school buds will post on here something about putting the kabosh on it. But, I would think as long as we state that it's not endorsed by MC and it's just a bunch of us getting together making a calendar of our personal property and they are not for resale I think were ok.

01-05-2005, 05:42 PM
I'll take one. Are we just going to share cost on this? Given the uncertainty of how MC will view your selling something featuring its brand of boat exclusively, that'd probably be the way to go.

By the way, the MC stuff from the guy on ebay with location listed as Oklahoma are all knock-offs from what I have seen.

Just remember:

MC guide pole pads have "MasterCraft" written both horizontally and vertically. When written vertically, the letters are turned on their sides (they are not upright/spaced vertically). The horizontal lettering is very, very small and is above the vertical script.

MC shock tubes have the slalom course time chart on them. From his email to me, his do not.

hmm... it didnt cut and paste all that well. The way to decipher this, the first number after your name is the qty you said you wanted, the second # is the number of boat photos you want in. If there is not a second # that means I show you havent placed an order to have your boat in the calendar

Hey guys, I will have to check when I get home from work but I think we are darn near at our minimum order requirements of 50 calendars! If so, we will move to the next stage of getting photos from everyone etc.... I will post a reply tonight. To answer the question of when we will have these out, from the time we hit 50 and the time we can get a print date should be no more than a 10 day turnaround is my guess. So in other words, I forsee we could definetely have these in everyone's hands towards the end of this month or first part of Feb. at the latest.

Thanks Farmer Ted!! Well folks this puts us at 49 sold per my math and 25 boat photos taken!! I am SURE we can come up with a few more to break our mark of 50 no problem. I am going to be out of town until Wednesday evening but please go ahead and start sending me the pics you want to use for your boat via email. It would be a huge help if you could send just one email per order as I am guessing this will be alot of emails!! That being said please email me the following info:

1. Your Name & mailing address
2. Confirm the # of calendars you want
3. # of photo positions you want and your 1st and 2nd choice months for them to appear in. Remember this is a 15 month calendar so please put February 2005, etc.... I will do my best to see that everyone receives the months they ask for and will prioritize requests on a first come first serve basis.
4. Your email address (whatever one you check regularly)
5. The photos you wish to use in the calendar

When I return, sometime Thursday evening I will start sending out Paypal notes to the people I have received emails from.
We do need some more photo involvement everybody, we only have 25 taken so far out of a possible 45 so should you want to see more of your boat, feel free to get more spaces!!

How does it look? Any new pictures or calendars orders?
Maybe if this doesn't work, we could have someone form the board who's handy to do photo montage or the guy you hired, do a program with the pixs and the months of the years and we could download that program ( Not that i would know how but...) and have it print ourselves on Kodak paper or something like that then of course you would have to assemble but could work if the other way don't!
What do you think?

This gives us only 8 shy of our mark of 50!! At this point I am going to go ahead and get with the printer and get it setup. Surely between the group here we can get in contact with those who said they wanted a calendar but havent' replied and got their order!! (HELP please!!)

I will be sending out paypal notices tonight so please go ahead and take care of that. You can use CC, or your paypal acct. it's your choice. I would prefer to work this way, this is already alot to track manually and paypal can help me keep track of all of this.

BTW, we have 21 photo spots open in the calendar. Get to diggin!! It would be much cooler to fill them with new photos as compared to repeating the same photos in several months of the calendar.

Thanks everybody!

Jeff,

I was alittle surprised by the Paypal amount, I was under the impression that the photo was $10 and the calendars were going to be around $15-20 a peice?

Can you break down how much each portion of this is costing?

Thanks

Not sure but i think it was something like 36 $ a calendar if ordering the minimum 50, and 10 $ a pix but as usual ICBW !!!

Thanks Andre,

I just went back and looked at the thread and it was $34 or $36 per calendar depending on what post you use.

I guess I figured more people would step up to the plate and order a calendar.

Guess not

Sorry guys, I negotiated as hard as I could to get a good price. The difficulty is hardly any printer would even consider touching a job this small, it costs them more to setup the press than its worth. Let's just say I had to buy a few people a few brews to agree to get it done. :friday: For those that supported the cause thanks and thank you for your patience with me for getting this put together!

Ok guys, we need to keep getting these sold. I have had 4 people send me emails backing out now saying they didn't know they would cost this much. The prices have and are posted in this thread. I have $300 of my own dough outlaid on this already, not going to be a happy camper if I loose that. Remember yes, the price is higher than a normal calendar you can buy at that store, but when is the last time you had your boat on a calendar!!!

If people committed earlier they should not back out without at least contributing to the cash you laid out to get this going. I wish it was done earlier but maybe if we can get it done this year, next year will be better and we will all be more prepared with nice pictures and all. I like the comment on another thread about dealers getting involved as well. There are some dealers and parts suppliers that do a fair bit of business from this board and should consider making this happen. They aren't shy about piping in on other threads.

One of the primary reasons he decided to go with Wife 1.0 was because it came bundled with FreeSexPlus. Well, it turns out the resource allocation module of Wife 1.0 sometimes prohibits access to FreeSexPlus, particularly the new Plug-Ins he wanted to try. On top of that, Wife 1.0 must be running on a well warmed-up system before he can do anything.

I'm currently running the latest version of GirlFriend and I've been having some problems lately. I've been running the same version of DrinkingBuddies 1.0 forever as my primary application, and all the GirlFriend releases I've tried have always conflicted with it.
I hear that DrinkingBuddies won't crash if GirlFriend is run in background mode and the sound is turned off. But I'm embarrassed to say I can't find the switch to turn the sound off. I just run them separately, and it works okay. Girlfriend also seems to have a problem coexisting with my Golf program, often trying to abort Golf with some sort of timing incompatibility.

Hey Jeff -
How'd the finances come out on this deal? You're not in the hole, are you?

I just skimmed by, there was $5.34 left over after all the bills. I scraped together some loose change and was able to buy a 6 pack of Heineken!! :toast:

Great. Make sure it's packed well. I don't want the condensation from the beer messing up my calendar. ;)

There is a great clip on ebaum from The Man Show of a little girl selling girl scout cookies, you would like that one.

Doug; I'll have to find that. Are you skiing or boarding or both?

GS to lady: "We can't sell our cookies to pregnant women."
GS to Lady; "You look like the last thing you need is another cookie"
GS to lady and BF; "Buy these and they will make your boobs grow" Guy likes the idea!
