there is no reason to ever "splurge" on premium fuel. if you car is designed to run on 89 octane, it will run worse on any other fuel.

Sticker on the inside of the gas filler door says "for maximum performance use premium fuel";) 6cyl nissan w/ supercharger.. ie 350z engine in a truck... I agree if it doesn't ask for it you can burn the engine up by using it.

I stopped by our local "Texas Quick Fuel" (in NC) and asked Abdule (That's his name, freal!) when gas would be coming down again and he said, "No know when go down, bad weather come"! OK, Mr. Behind the counter convenience store operator metorologist guy, what does that mean? I just got me a $.99 loaf of bread and $2.79 Gal of milk and left, so I'd be ready for the storm!

 $1.97 per gallon wow

We are sitting at $0.959 per liter Canadian:( . That is $3.63 per American gallon. Man do I wish that I wasn't getting screwed at the pump  .

So at $1.97 per gallon plus 14% is $2.25 gallon or $0.595 per liter. Wouldn't that be nice.

I do not think the Market Makers and the oil cartels will let this go. they will begin cutting in Feb to make sure oil crude is around $60 a barrell. We will be stuck at paying around $2.30 -2.50 THIS SUMMER. The days of $1.50 gas are done in my opinion for the long term.

Some of the cheapest fuel prices in the State as well as the best service and cleaniest stores / restrooms etc. :)

Crude oil dropped below $50.00 a barrel briefly yesterday. The media should be announcing shortly that there is a catastrophy somewhere in the world that will raise the price of crude oil, like Oprah pooted when she was at the mall or something simular.

When Oprah did her first diet gig she came walking out on stage and with a wagon ( radio flyer ) of fat comperable to her weight loss and announced she had stopped eating beef, corn grain market dropped a hugh amount the next day because of her announcement. She is a pretty powerful women. Being a farmer it left me a little  !!! And you are right there is a disaster looming that will skyrocket oil prices.

If this occurred, there would be a sudden surge in the supply of natural gas, dropping its price. I guess we would come out about even.

Gasoline tax total average, as reported on various web sites, varies from $.45 to $.60 per gallon depending on whether those local excise and sales taxes are taken into account, or if they are only reporting state and federal excise taxes.
