Does anyone know the difference between the MCX and the RTP-1 ? Is it the same bore and stroke and comprssion ratio? What gives the MCX 40 more HP ? Does the MCX use more fuel ? Also someone told me that the RTP-1 had more low end torque ? Thanks.

MCX is nicer looking. I have a RTP in mine and have had no complaints what so ever.

landscape- you can see both at Indmar's site. The specs will be there, too.

To make more HP you have to burn more fuel it is a fact of life. However the MCX is a more efficient powerplant than the RTP-1...because it makes more power with only a slightly greater fuel burn.

The MCX power increase come from the intake manifold and its tuned length runner runner design...the long block is the same (GM 5.7ltr Votec). Further power increases are made in fuel and spark mapping that is made possible again due to the to the intake.
