I was just cleaning out my shop when I came across a bucket of stuff hidden in the back corner. Man, I've been looking for this boom mount for a year now! Anyway, now I've got a complete Barefoot International Boom for sale that I used on my 88 Prostar. The mount was chromed, but heavy use and years have taken its toll on the finish. Somebody make me an offer! It's Taking up valuable space!

Ski Dog, will it fit my 93 ps205 ?? At 45 I'll kill myself trying to foot but my guess it would make an excellent trainer. The fuel savings alone trying to get my kids friends up would be worth the price. Is there a price ? Any pics yet ?

I'll post some pics tomorrow. (Tues.) Don't really have a price yet, and also, I have promised Milk Mania he could have it if it would fit his boat and it looks like it will. However, if he doesn't want it, then it will still be up for grabs. I also can't remember if the boom itself is contoured or straight, but I'll go to my warehouse tomorrow and see. I'll post some pics then. BTW, Jeff, I believe it will fit your boat too.
After seeing Rod's pic, I believe mine is the contoured one.

Whats the diff. between contoured or not, is it to clear the windshield. How do they attach to the ski pole? I dont have a clue on these things, so interest in a beat up used one that may not get used much might work.

I trust not to get screwed on this site, right ! It's not often I would disclose my ignorance.

IMHO, contured is better because it’ll fit over the gunnel better. It gives it a little more snug fit. Otherwise, if a person is in the observers seat, they have the boom to contend with. If it’s contured, at least they have a foot rest.

where you located in Arkansas?
I'm 12 miles southwest of Fort Smith, AR into Oklahoma

I bumped the thread to
1. Find it easily
2. Generate Boom Pole discussion, and as mentioned someone may be in the market for one.

mission accomplished:)

note:
I never heard whether rodltg2 or Jim@BAWS sold theirs:confused:

Thanks, skijwr. I've seen two of those ads, but the package deal is new to me. Looks like a good deal if he is willing to ship.

Milkmania, thanks for bumping this thread. I'm determined to get a boom and re-acquaint myself with some barefooting on Lake Ouachita this summer. I'm located 2 hours east of you in Little Rock.

Sweet, I think you got a deal on that package. glad it worked out. wow, if he spent time with Seipel, he must be pretty good. cool. I have bought several items from across the country on craigslist. most sellers are willing to work with you.

I have an ECI contour boom for sale. The only thing it is missing is the bolt that connects the 2 sections together, and the rubber lining inside the pylon clamp needs to be replaced. I know what it retails for new and have a decent feel for the used market value. PM me a reasonable offer. I am willing to make someone a real good deal. I am in TX, near Ft. Worth.

I have one of these and love it, but am really curious... what is the white thing with what appear to be two buckles. Looks like a mini life jacket.

It is a pad that goes around the pylon clamp. I guess to many people stubbed there bare toe on the clamp that is at floor level in the boat.

Looking for a barefoot intl. 8" contour. Would also like to buy one that is ready to go. I don't know enough about booms to find parts for them.

A MC dealer told me I should go with barefoot intl. because they will be the easiest to find parts for.

Sorry, your original post said you were looking for a boom that would fit your 209, mine will. I wouldn't have replied if you said you were looking for a specific BI 8" contour boom.

Not much for parts on any boom. I can buy the proper size and length bolt that goes to my ECI at Home Depot and include it. As for the lining on my clamp, it was mounted to my pylon with a thin neoprene "coozie" between the clamp and pylon and was rock solid as far as I could tell. I can throw in one of those also and this one is ready to go with less than $5 dollars in "parts". But, if you want a specific boom, you should probably buy new, at new price, as used BI booms seem to be pretty rare. Good luck and happy footin.

Yeah I apologize for that. Originally I wasn't sure exactly what I needed, but after shopping around it seems that I would like to get my hands on a BI B202 with a boom extension to reduce chine spray, etc.

This is what was recommended to me and after reading up on the BI's, they seem to be amazing products. I appreciate your help. Unfortunately it looks like I will have to purchase new ($600 for everything). I'm guessing just about everyone and their neighbor is looking for a used B202.

I believe a straight BFI boom will fit on your 209...we used 2 booms at the same time on a 209 at Mag Mania a few years back...one was straight and one was curved I believe...
