TT Member Michel Soucy took nine of us out in really bad conditions today to slalom ski , trick ski & surf behind a brand new TT 197 as well as a X45 .Water was surprisingly warm 40f , air on the other hand was 20f. When we took the boats out most of us were wondering if we had lost our minds (lots of white caps ) . We drove for 20 minutes to a reasonably calm spot & used the X45 as our starting dock . We had 2 Video cameras & a few stills. Here is a shot of the TT with ice all over it just coming to the dock from the launch ramp. Scott will do a video & post in a few day's.

Scott wore his board shorts on the outside of his dry-suit & afterwards they froze like card board.

It really was not as bad as I thought it would be ( I did not sleep great last night worrying about it). Lots of layers afterward kept us warm, & it was a hoot!I wore a dry suit , A neoprene balaclava as well as a neoprene sock on my back foot & the only part that got cold was the finger tips after dropping in the water after my set! Scott started first with no head gear & did a out the front on his second turn ( hilarious ) . He got up again & finished his set!All in all a memorable day. We had beer & pizza After putting the boats back in the garage.

We were out today running around and it was about 32 and spitting. It was f'n cold. I thought back to skiing in shows in Germany in the same weather. They would only let us wear a barefoot suit. Totally sucked when someone fell in the jump act and you had to be sunk while picking them up!

Sounds like you had a lot of fun! I am jealous. Last time I was out was January 1 and would go again today if I had the chance too. Post more pics if you have them.

I am impressed I tried to get a few friends to ski around new years in Burlington Harbor(our usual lake was frozen). Many offered to drive, but not joining me for a ski.

We skied on the St Lawrence river . The sheltered spot were we skied should have had been covered by thick ice by now , but as you know this has not been a normal winter!

i was there, and when i saw the 4' wakes in the river i wished i had found something else to do that morning!! but i'm alive and my wife is kind of mad as she will not collect the insurance like she told me before i left for this voyage...

A couple of firsts for me. Today was the first time I've skied in February and the first time I've skied behind a v-drive. Had a great time and got some great pictures. Here's one (with a little blur for privacy's sake). Not me.
