I had the misfortune of a dead battery (left courtesy lights on) last Saturday so I had to jump start my 2000 PS 190. After it was running, the Perfect Pass was on but unresponsive. I let the battery charge for a few minutes, shut the engine off and restarted it. At this point, the Perfect Pass worked fine but now none of the gauges were working. After a few sets of skiing, everything started working fine. Does anyone know what might have caused this? Should I have done something different when jump starting???

charge it first when capable of it.

can be hard on alternators to jump start.

I'd replace the battery ASAP. Once dead, I've found they never fully recover, and can stress the alt, starter & electronics. Or they'll strand you at some point again. Make sure not to use a "deep cycle", use a "starting" battery. Many threads on this.
Good luck.

sounds like it could be a neutral connection or just a loose connection.
