AESOME PHOTOS...it was 80 plus here in Tampa yesterday

Now as far as those "SWIVEL" Photos. Where the girls skiing just
so the guys could get a rest before they had to ski again?
You know I don't want to see valuable band width wasted on
SWIVEL stuff!!! HA HA HA

Those girls who you see on the swivel skis barefoot, ride on the top of a barefoot pyramid, sometimes are on the base of a 4 high pyramid, and one climbs to the top of our 4 high pyramid. They have more guts than some of the guys on our team. :D

Go girl power!!!

Great pictures....looks like fun!!!!

Is it an annual event or an event special to this year because of our mild weather???

They do it every year on New Years Day. I'm not sure how many years it has been, but somewhere around 25 years now.

Is it on a river somewhere that you haven't had issues with ice?

Looks similar to the event in Wisconsin on the Rock River outside of Madison.

It looks like fun. Glad that the weather was mild for them. What body of water was this on, and how cold was the water temp?

Happy New Year.

They ski on Piegon Lake near Holland, MI. The Campbell power plant discharges in that body of water so it doesn't totally freeze over. There is a very short channel that opens to Lake Michigan. I would guess the water temp today was around 40 degrees (that's a lot warmer than other years). It was a little windy and the wind chill made it feel colder than it actually was.

This is a picture that I took of Lake Michigan right after we were done. You can see there is some wind from the waves on the lake.

Jim if you listen to my son all swivel and ballet skis are good for is starting fires and roasting hot dogs. He would agree they are a waste of good water.

Sue, looks like a fun outing.

Temp was 45 and water is in the upper 30's. Tried to get our boat out today but to much mud to pull it through from the barn where it spends the winter. :(

You guys are crazy and amazing! I will never complain about being cold in the spring/fall again after seeing your pics. I got a little shiver just thinking about that water temp. Hopefully there were no holes in the suits!

Just came back downstate from northern MI today (after a week of snow skiing on dirt) and it was really windy. The air temps have been unusually high for this time of year and our lake hasn't even froze over yet, but the wind chill had to have made that a fun experience!

Awesome stuff. The swivel girls were great. I bet once the girls got wet, all of the guys who hadn't gone were bummed since they now HAD to go.

Nice pictures looks like fun. We boarded yesterday as well. 56 degree water, 47 degree air temp. It wasn't too bad and at least the sun was out.
