I have been searching all over online for something to hold the flag on the tower. Cops came last year because I just had the regular flag attached to the boat and because of all of the equipment it wasnt "easily visible" I dont need it for when I am in PA but when I am at home in NJ I do. Any help will be appreciated.

Make your least favorite friend stand and hold it for the day. :D

I used a giant black plastic clamp made by Stanley tools. I took my flag which is on a stick and zip-tied it to the clamp. Works great on the tower (top bar).

My friend has one that is a permanent clamp with a verticle hole sticking upwards with a thumbscrew to hold the flag's stick. I'll try to find out where he got it.

Bought one at West Marine last year. It was about 50 buck. However, the mounting clamp was substantial, like the clamps used for tower speakers. I have seen them online as well. Many of the companies that make the heavy duty flags with the metal handles, also make the tower mounts. Hot Buddy products offers a tower mount flag with an electric motor. Hit a button to extend or retract. Costs about $200. BKH

dmayer,
I have a flagholder that mounts on my tower. Great visibility! Although the picture is not so good, heres a look. It was spendy ($140.00) though I like it due to the fact everyone can see it when we are not holding it.
