After seeing some of the great looking tow rigs on the board, I think it might be time to put some new wheels on the 98 Dodge Ram 4x4 I pull with. My question is this.....It is a stock truck and I do not plan to lift it, however I want a nice size wheel and tire that will look good on the truck, so how do you determine what size to start looking at?
Anyone have a 98 Dodge (or around there) with aftermarket wheels that they care to show a pic of?

Thanks.

I had a 98 ram in high school. I put 17"X8" wheels with 33" tires on the truck. I did however put a spindle lift on the front, just to level the truck out and give it a better stance. The spindle lift was really simple and inexpensive... only about $300 I think and I installed it myself.

Got any pics you that you can PM me with, if not no big deal, at least I've got a starting point.
Thanks.

I am sure I can dig some up when I get home from work tonight....

Here is the info on the lift...

I did the 3.5" Spindle System

If you're not he!! bent on aftermarket wheels, the 01 Ram Off Road's had 17x8" 5 spoke wheels that looked pretty cool, IMO. May be able to find a set of take off's cheap. They will run up to 33x12.5x17 tires easily, although I found the best size to be 285-70-17. The 285's were just a bit narrower and didn't balloon out at all on the rims.

I agree, those are great looking wheels. They would be my first choice if I had a Ram. 285's should look great.

TRBENJ,
That is my exact truck, with the exception of the different stock wheels. Great looking truck IMHO.
Thanks again for all of the advice.
