My understanding is that paint is bad and can lower the value of the boat.

Suggest discussing what you hope to accomplish and question the local experts on this board to find out the best solution.

Forgive me if this is a redundant question, but was your boat featured in WaterSki? If I remember right it was multi-part article on the restoration?

I remember that article, it had to be about 8 to 10 years ago correct?

The place that did the work was here in Columbus if I remember correctly.

No it was featured in july 2005 water ski magazine. and in the summer of 2005 star magazine. Me my dad and three friends did all the work ourselves. it took about a year to do it all. the motor is a full roller motor with je pistons, aluminum intake, roush racing heads and has been ported and polished.

Oh yeah, I just pulled the old magazine out and there it was!! I know that about 10 years ago, waterski mag did a feature about restoring an old MC and they painted it yellow also.... I swear to it!!

So are you Paxton Thompson from Martinez, Georgia!?!?
