does anyone know what the font is for the mastercraft lettering...my bro is a machinest and he is going to cut so diamond platting out with the mastercraft logo

There is not a published font as such. It is a modified font that MC has registered as their trademak logo. You can scan a decal or the lettering and program it that way.

HemiHead 426 is close, but not exact.

Thanks Bigmac for the comparison! I was about to comment that is was close enough for someone who didn't care how far off it is. You made it simple to see it's way off!

The "MasterCraft" font is actually a Jpeg....there is no "font".

The "MasterCraft" font is actually a Jpeg....there is no "font".Right. Actually, it's a logo and a registered trademark. My guess would be that MasterCraft actually did commission a font because they'd want it to be scaleable as an EPS graphic so they could easily generate graphics of many different sizes. But if so, I'm sure it's a copyrighted font and held very closely.

It would be pretty easy to generate that MasterCraft font using Adobe Illustrator or some other similar vector-based graphics program. One could use Hemi Head as a starting point and change the line weights, the kerning, and redo the ascenders. I'm kind of surprised no one has done that and made it available on the internet.

I'd be up for getting a vecorized version in eps format!!

I could get some custom vynil cut stickers and even load into my friends CNC machine and make for custom plates and stuff!

click the little camera icon in my post and I have a jpg saved of the font
remember it's registered, so don't sell it

Dont know if it helps but i've got the files for the decals in adobe iiustrator file, cant convert them but had mine done at the sign shop no problem, just took along the cd i put them on measured the ones on the boat so the cutter new the sizes if you want the file sending over let me have your email address i'll get them over

I have that done to my boat. I had stainless cut out for the vents on the front and the back.

I dodnt think so some MC reps saw it. And the where pretty inpressed. It is amazing what kind of Master Craft parts the department of defense can make.
