I am thinking about buying a new boat to replace my 1994 Barefoot. Styling is important - I like traditional.

I like to ski - the kids wakeboard. We are on a pretty big lake (7 miles by 5 miles) that can get sort of choppy so ride is important - and I am not a kid anymore.

No more than 21 feet though...anybody out there rode the new X 14/ 214 - is the hull good on choppy water?

Any opinions are appreciated.

Overdraft,
Welcome to TMC. I am interested in what you are doing with your BF200. Are you selling it, and curious what you are asking? They are not such a common boat and something that I think might be an option for me one day. You are going to have to post pictures of it once you get a chance. (I am not really in the market but like to fantasize about the boat I am going to get myself once I am outta medic school.)

I have an X-1 that I can get out on the St. Johns River with moderate chop. No way I could ever take my old Prostar 190 out if there was a slight wind.

I use my X-1 for slalom (wake flattens out aroud 34 mph), trickskiing, wakeboarding, etc.... I have found it to be a good all around boat with a lot of room. You might want to consider the new X-2 as well.
