Post up you Resolutions for a little moral support here.

I personally, am taking a different approach to mine this year. I am choosing two things that I love to do and they help me stay in shape.

For 2008, I promise to:
1) Surf More
2) Ski More

With the new job and living about 3 minutes with traffic to get to it, I am vowing to get in the water more. Over these past 2 years, I have done nothing but gotten fatter and fatter because I was sitting in traffic for as much as 4 hours a day. In these past 2 months I have skiied more during the week after work, than my entire time at my last company and I have been surfing a couple times each each morning during the week. I intend to crank it up for the new year and turn into a complete water man when I am not at work... all while getting back into shape!!

1)Get in shape.
2)Land 3-5 new tricks.

:o Too much holiday food, and I just quit smoking so that tends to add to the lbs.

We have more stuff around our house than we really need. I want to get rid of some clutter and do some organizing.

Along these same lines... My resolution would be to not have to buy a longer stick for this spring... I too have a weakness for Christmas cookies.

My two for 2008 and beyond are,

1. Spend more time with my family outside of the daily routine, and

2. Ski more.

I think I can do those at the same time. :)

I've got two:

- Finish the refurb on my MC.
- Learn to ski the course. So far it's been all slalom freestyle but I'm ready for the next challenge.

My ideal resolutions is to get in better shape and loose some weight. I'd also like to start lifting weights to build my muscle for wakeboarding and also work on my conditioning so I can take that extra run!

Three words, "TWENTY-EIGHT OFF". My goal is to run a complete 28-off pass at 34 MPH. I made one and a half at the end of this last season. I am running every day and the weight training starts January 1st. Four months until I hit the water again.

I plan to:

*lose the 15 lbs that I've gained back b4 boating season.....hey somebody's gotta keep Monte warm!!!!

*learn how to finally drop and trailer the boat properly, without making Monte cringe....

*Continue with girls' night out on the boat......sorry Monte :)

*See more of my friends and family...

I think I want to learn to slalom since I now have the boat for it. Not sure what I will need to do that. 6'1" and 235 lbs. I have a combo set of Connelly's. Since I will just be riding behind the boat that should be OK.

I never learned because the boat I grew up with had a 65 HP motor (1969 Glastron with a 69 Johnson Motor). No chance of it ever pulling me up. Pretty sad but it was what we could afford.

My goals: 1.)Figure out a way to get my 10 y/o son to catch the passion for boating w/o resentment (all he wants to do at the lake now is start a fire in the pit and play with it). 2. Get 32' more reg. and at least 3 @35. 3. Be kind to all.
