Not too bad looking...I'm still a sucker for a sleek PS 197 w/o a tower running down a slalom course. To each is their own...maybe someday the 214 will grow on me. :) Happy Holidays!!!! :):):)

Not sure based on what I saw, but the real story will be in the water. If you can get an X 1 or X 2 wake for boarding and the 197 wake for Slalom, sign me up

i believe in cali, that you are no longer allowed to have a factory installed shower in the rear due to nitrous oxide poisoning. so if its true, i guess that rear hatch will be empty.

Nice, well, I'll let my dentist know about the Nitrous Oxide feature ... nothing like a little nitrous before a set:)

I think the back of the boat looks like a Bu' ... I was hoping for a 197 about 18" longer w/ a bit of a "horseshoe" seating arrangement in the rear :(

Just found out the same thing when I was boat shopping on Saturday... the Nautique dealer said no way, but the MC dealer said I could not order with one, but that they would install one if I really wanted it.

I bet if you got a MCX with the ETX/CAT the nitrous oxides would be substantially lower

i think that if our engines were actually emitting nitrous oxide, we'd be spending alot more time wake surfing!!

Actually the gentleman does have a point. Till the production starts on these boats and they are available for the general public to see and inspect it's really pointless to slam it in it's prototype/test attire.

I'll be inteterested to see the 214 at the shows and in the boat buyers guides/tests.....seems a little too big to have a high quality wake....

Especially with 14 people in the "ultra lounger" and the rope tied off on the back. :purplaugh

But, if he hurts me and I knock his butt off into the water, he won't feel anything either or remember it!

I really can not wait to see it in person because right now I just do not get it. Make a DD that as a supposed great wake and then put in wrap around seating? Why not just make another v-drive? I hope I am missing something here.

I want to see the storage under the seats and access to the right side of the engine with the dog house up.

Ryan

No storage whatsoever on the port side. I wonder if the stbd and rear storage drop into the hull void.

I can't wait to see the proprietary design (and high cost) for a new fangled MC tower boom that will grip onto the lighting bolt. Since a traditional boom won't do. Overall looks aren't bad, I'd like a little less Cadillac-"Art&Science"-CTS design in the transom though. I do love the shower in the back though.

I cannot imagine there is much storage under the back seat assuming that is where the gas tank must be located.

Since you haven't got the Star mag yet, I see you are reading "Big Butted Girls" in the place of it. Only barge manufacturers advertise in it!

From all aspects this appears to be a disappointment. They built the boat bigger and filled it up with furniture and took away the storage. I thought only my wife could do that. Other than the wake(still not proven) the designers have really missed. DD owners are skiers that need space for big stuff. They really had a nice concept with the 209 and now they replace it with this. I understand the 209 will no longer be available either.

Alright, so I have been waiting on the arrival of this boat for a while now in anticipation that it might be the next boat I get (eventually). And I have mentioned to some of you on here not to worry that MC is the best and would get it right.......well, now I'm not so sure. I can't believe I 'm going to say this, but I think they missed. I know I havent' seen it yet, but I think it's just missed the mark.

After seeing these pictures I'm not so sure of the idea of the seating. I like the idea of the seating more than the actual end result. How are you sopposed to get to the engine to service it or just winterize it with the seats right there in the way? I have yet to see a picture with the motor box next to the seats. There can't be more than about an inch between the seat and the box.

I don't know, I still can't wait to see it I'm just not so sure now that I want it.
