Try the guys at Wileys http://www.wileyski.com/

They have great specials. You can get a nice new ski in your range.

I have bought several sticks and bindings from them.

Good internet sites already listed but you may also try performance ski (www.perfski.com). They usually have several good demos for sale.

Goode 9534 160 AMP 65.5" Medium flex, all carbon graphite.

One year old, slighty used but in great shape. Originally paid $890.00 for the blank ski.

Set up for Powershell boots (pictured but not included in price) Blank with no binding screw holes so it's ready to be drilled to fit your bindings. Custom carbon graphite fin included

I might have enough parts for a set of Powershell-3 boots with heat moldable liners, what size are your feet and which foot forward?

If I have the parts they would be $200.00, so $750.00 for the ski setup with boots.

New from Goode would cost $1,350.00.

eMail me if interested crdickey@hotmail.com

Mag, I took a look at that Perfski site. They have a Jobe Edge Graphite for $369 on there. This is the same as the CDX. Of course, they have these at Wileys yet again. You may be looking for something a bit more on the full carbon scale, but figured I'd mention it. They're great skis. According to HO headquarters, the Jobe is the exact same ski.

Goode's demo plan is that you buy it and try it, if you like it, you keep it. If you don't like it you send it back and they credit you credit card.

When I bought the ski I did the demo program. I've skied on it for 18 months. I loved it after the first ride, it is a great ski!

Since I bought it, I have been working out a lot and skiing a lot and have gained 15 pounds which make the 65.5" ski a bit short for my weight. My friend lets me use his Goode 67" until I sell my 65.5". Once I sell it, I'll order my new one.

So if your interested in a deal, you'll be hard pressed to find a better deal for a ski of this caliber.

The Truth with animals at 400 $ seems like a good deal...

We got a blank 04 Truth for $199 on ebay last year. Technically it was suppsed to be an 03, but it was sold out from under the auction and the seller, Bellingham Sports was very gracious and replaced it with an 04 at the same price. With the animals, I'd agree with Andre that $400 sounds like a pretty good deal. Of course, you might be able to get you a deal since they're probably trying to unload those Truth skis to make room for the new System 8.

HO's replacement for the CDX/Truth. Same design as the Monza buy a bit more forgiving. The following is from the HO site:

The System-8 is for the skier that skis hard and fast with complete confidence and control and demands absolute performance from their ski. With fantastic edge grip, the System-8 is the pinnacle of a smooth, fast carving ride. Although it has the exact dimensions and shape of the Monza, this ski has a softer ride because it’s constructed with less demanding materials. The System-8 has all the best qualities of the Monza with a broader range of performance particularly in varying conditions. For the skier looking for absolute speed and supreme control, the System-8 is a balanced ride ready to take skiing to another level.

Is it an AL top Monza? Sort of like the CDX/Truth was an AL top Phantom/Phantom Truth.
