I have been trying to find the oldest MC in TT. So far '76 is as old as I see. Anyone got older?

It looks as if most of the regular TTers have newer MC's.

Yes, HIN MBC34572, it's the 345th MC built, 1st MC shipped west of Mississippi, 1st MC in the State of Washington, then moved to Belle Aqua Lakes making it the 1st MC in Calif., Kris Lapoint's 1st promo boat, Kris set his first slalom World Record and MC's 1st World record behind this boat, 1st fiberglass swim platform and the list goes on and on, ALL DOCUMENTED and the boat is complete in everyway, every single piece, including the allen wrench in a hole in the dash to adjust the original speedos.
He is restoring it on a promise that Kris Lapoint, the second owner, the second owners son (third owner) will ski behind it together as they once did when kas finishes restoring it. It was in the Star magazine, Fall 2004, pg 20, in an article called "Old School".

My MC is a 1999 but my other rig is a 1971 Slickcraft which I still have. It was a design ahead of its time. Because like MC's it was built with quality and it is going to be around for many more years.

79 here...not meaning to threadjack here...last weekend we were discussing older MC's, and old friend of ours had either a 75 or 76 and the statement was made it was only 17' long. I was not sure about this statement but thought they were all 19' then...Does anyone know if a 75 or 76 was in fact 17'?

If its the 4bbl, it would have originally been rated at 235hp. There was also a 2bbl option that was rated at 210hp. The H-M's were pretty common in late 60's and early 70's Correct Crafts. They sound great!

I don't understand why there is something similar here because MC did not make its first boat until 1968.

There have been other who have taken a PLUG of a MC hull. Ski Reffic, Savara (Canadian Company(sp) and one other who eludes me at the moment
