It's about a month or so til the boat shows, will the 214 be there? only select markets?

From what I saw in the catalog, I am not holding my breathe to wait for its breathtaking "beauty"

I predict the 214 will look very similar to the other 2007 Pro Stars. Prototype drawings always tend to have a rather futuristic look about them that doesn't ultimately carry over to the real thing.

Right now it's just in the 213.125 stage and the complete 214 will be arriving shortly! So, in the mean time we can all just have a seat and wait,

I wonder if they are going to try to get it USA Waterski approved as a three event boat?

Hasn't the approval process already happened for next year?

Heck I have no idea. I just know that my lake demands that any ski boat be USA Waterski approved and 3000lbs or under. I am worried about both.

I am under the assumption that more and more boat manufacturers are getting away from the expense and frustration of getting their boats approved for competitions. Maybe not the big three, but the little guys like Centurion etc.

2006 was the first time I noticed any Pro Star not being sent for AWSA approval. I can't imagine that the 214 would be over 3,000 lbs.

From all the hype as it being an extended 197 you would think that it would be AWSA ... have to be!!!

It is getting really late for the boat show season for them not to be in production. Getting concerned that this will truely be a mid year launch.

I emailed Mr Dorton on this PS214, discussed some on the interior. He states that the Traditional True IB Market Share has fallen. With the wrap around seating, he and his Team thinks they will recover market share with this new concept and it will be a record capable boat running on the 197 Surface.

I must also say, it's great to know that he takes his time out to answer questions from his customers !!! Great Company, wish they had stock available as a public traded company.

I wouldn't be so sure about that being optional. From what I understand, the seats are built into the floor like your wrap-around seats in a v-drive. One of the concerns is that there is more wrap-around seating on the driver side than the observer side, which makes the boat heavier on that side, plus add the driver. There will have to be more counterbalance, like the MTS or something.

I'm not worried about it. Remember, this is Mastercraft doing this, they will make it right. They are #1 for a reason!

I would be surprised if it is an option. My dealer is convinced it will be an option but the guy I talked to is not in the know. My 205 will have to last another couple years if it is just wrap around.

They are being designed as we speak, with a picture of the 214 on them and will have a unique fiberglass/resin/gelcoat "Scratch and Sniff" feature for authenticity. Check your e-mail for a special notification.

Great going footing! Glad to hear this responsiveness!

Is this the X version of what you are talking about? Very nice boat, picture taken at the Indianapolis Boat Show.
