That ski pole looks almost the same height as a mini-tower on a MC 197. I bet he was crushed when he found out 007 didn't use the same boat! :)

I just saw a "Modern Marvels" about the jet boat in 007. That thing is pretty cool, ugly as sin, but it has a small block in a 16' aluminum boat!!

Those boats look like the go so fast that you could ski on your bare feet behind them. You gotta go like 70 to do that right?

The powerful 90 hp engine sounds just plain dangerous. Too many horses to be playing around with....

scary fast

I hope for the sake of the board that you guys aren't looking at anything that powerful. You could hurt yourselves!

There was a Bond movie with Roger Moore were they had a boat chase seen down in cajun country but I can't remember if it was a Glastron/ Carlson or not.

In Live and Let Die, they used a modified Glaston GT 150 in the chase seen. Very fun boats to drive. My uncle had two of them. Above 50mph, they would "chine walk", which was pretty unnerving.

Reckon you can barefoot behind that bond boat? :D

Here it is. From Live and Let Die.

Those Glastrons were nice boats. We know a family that has one similar to this, it was still running a few years ago and kept in pretty nice condition. With a big motor, they move out pretty well. I always wanted one when I was a kid (before I knew why I should really want a MasterCraft)
