The top looks like mine, on an '89 ProStar. Haven't had it up, so can't tell you the bottom is identical.

Looks like a 95-97. Definitely not the same as the 80s boats because it has the nylon swivel head.

Sure looks identical to my '89 ProStar pylon. Looks like they used that model for a number of years.

in 89 they started with the plastic head on the pylon. 88 was the last year with out.

so it just depends what the bottom of the pylon is like i suppose.

That bottom section is way longer than mine, there is also no flat spot to line up with the plate. I bet it's out of a Maristar when the pylon was in the middle of the boat. But, I bet I could cut that down to fit!

Thanks for the input on the pylon. I bought this pylon on e-bay over a year ago to replace the aging one on my '83 SS during last winter's floor replacement job. It is not exactlly like the original but I figured I could cut it down to fit the SS. As it turned out, I was able to use the original pylon. Anyway, I am trying to determine which boats this pylon was originally used on to best inform a potential buyer. Judging from the responses to this post, it sounds like it fits several models over the years. I put it on e-bay yesterday for $50 (half what I paid) just to get it out of the garage and maybe into the hands of someone who could use it.
