Milk, how do I capture the graph and post like you did? I see the link also has it in it too?

Press CTRL-ALT-PRNT SCRN and that copies it to your clip board. Open Paint and press Crtl-V and you now have it to edit and save.

Hit the PRINT SCREEN key while that page is displayed....
then go into paint and PASTE it

once inside paint, you can highlight the are you want posted.... right click copy, file NEW, right click & paste

then save it, and upload it as an attachment in your post

AT&T is killing me for this particular speed test server. Cyberlink Telecommunications apparently doesn't want Minnesotans communicating in Oklahoma.

It's only 11 hops to your speed test server, but you can clearly see where my pings drop off. There'sa lot of traffic tonight on AT&T's route, or they're still using leftover telegraph lines.

Just open your command prompt window and type in:

tracert speed.clnk.com

It will ping each router between your house and Milk's ISP.

It should be up at 15 MBps, fios from verizon has been great so far. $39.99 for 15 down and 5 up. A lot faster than cable and for the same price. They also have a plan that is $15 for 10 down and 2 up.

I think that connection that clnk uses is just about 1 Mbps so that is why everyone is showing up there as right about the same. All other bandwidth tests that I have done are a lot closer to what my speed is. I got 1.06 Mbps with that and my connection is a lot faster. I would use something else to test it like what you did or the one I posted earler http://myspeed.visualware.com/

dmayer; Good site! It is only a quesiton of time before we are viewing tv through this path.

ANyone use the SLing box? We ordered a couple for work to test some things we want to try. Watch any channel you get on your cable or satellite box via the internet when you are on the road.

My internet has been cutting in and out and running really slow tonight. I have cable, so I called the cable company. Time-Warner bought Adelphia, so they are currently changing over the system. So, I just checked my speed with the links provided. First test was 926 Kbps. Second Test was 2.79 Mbps. Third test was 1.02 Mbps. And last test was 2.24 Mbps How does it flucuate this much between the 2 minutes between tests?

Roonie's
12-06-2006, 12:25 AM
5.08 Mbps with a cable modem and amp at source. I did the test again and it read 3.24 Mbps so maybe it was a fluke?
