View Full Version : Repainting Exhaust Manifolds

I pulled my exhaust manifolds this winter and was wondering how I should go about repainting them bad boys. Any recommendation on a paint that will withstand the heat on the lower part of the manifolds. I plan on taking a wire brush and getting all the loose rust off.
Any tips on primer/paint?? :eek3:

I see Discount Inboard Marine sells PCM Black Paint (http://skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=RT0060&variation=&aitem=3&mitem=3) for that purpose.
I am not sure if it is the same think you can pick up at Wal-Mart or not.

I picked up some engine paint from O'Reilly to do my intake manifold. It had some sort of ceramic component in it recommended for high heat applications.
