Do you need a Chicago MasterCraft sticker for that truck?

Maristar210
11-14-2006, 10:08 PM
I thought the adjustable pedals were cool until I saw the rear view camera and the one touch fold-in and back out mirrors. Someone is listening at GM because this truck is the best vehicle that has ever been parked in our garage. The throaty exhaust was surprisingly loud. This thing gets it for as large as it is.. Holds a lotta beer too;)

Perhaps Erk. I'm still hoping for one of those cool sweatshirts in trade for the sign I finally gave to the boys to get started on. PM Me if you are still interested in barterin' dontchano.....

Sweatshirts are a work in progress, but we are finally getting to the end of the winterization craze, so soon enough!

Bolt on a K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit. It will go really well with throaty exhaust. They run between $275 & $325 from Summit

Make sure you read up on the pedals. On some vehicles you cannot be applying ANY pressure while adjusting them.

We test drove the Yukon version before buying our 'new to us' tow rig.

Congrats again.

Trickskier-

I put the KN kit on my Sierra Denali and to be honest I noticed only a slight gain in milage and no noticeable gain in performance. What are your thoughts/experiences?

You are correct P-hat .... Pedals will not move if you are touching them. Wife likes the fact she does not have to sit so close to the steering wheel any longer like in her MB. You listening Deiter you arrogant ba$tard? Didn't think so.

Steve

I had it on my wife's Suburban, and I agree I did not see a noticeable gain in mileage or performance either. But it sure sounded good when you romped on the gas pedal. Probably got less fuel mileage because I was always flooring it when the light turned green.....

We used the rear view camera when we picked up our X-2 from getting winterized, our sales guy was back there being very helpful with his directions and I didn't want to tell him I didn't need him....its great.

REAL NICE Steve..... REAL NICE!! :D

From the pics, it looks like your nav. screen is touch screen.....Wipe off them fingers prints before taking pics next time....8p

On the power foot pedals, I was surprised when I got my ride, I can adjust the pedals as I am driving, brakes and gas!!! WITH my foot on the pedal. I thought that was really weird.....

Yea, for gawd's sake Staristar! dont go to KFC and then try to run your navigation radio! 8p

NICE RIDE STARISTAR!!!!:toast: I sold a Tahoe that was similar 2 weeks ago. Not quite as "blinged" out as yours is. The Denali does have more bling than the Tahoe. The Tahoe I sold was black, had black leather interior, power folding rear buckets, moon roof, 20's, heated rear seats, but yours is a bit more fancy. I think I am gonna have to catch one of those on the used side in a few years..... nice ride!:)

Congrats Steve!

maristar, beautiful truck.

i have a black 07 tahoe with 20 inch wheels. I will say the new body style is a much improvement overall than the previous ones.

however the fuel mileage has been very disappointing in regards to what they advertise that they will get. best yet highway has been 16.

i went from my 04 sequoia to the tahoe and my toyota probable got 4-5 more mpg.

I hear ya and thanks for the nice words.

I could care less what kind of mileage it gets. I'll be lucky to get 10 with my lead foot. Too fun to leave alone.

I wouldn't be worried about gas mileage either, but with those 20" wheels, I couldn't afford to put tires on the thing! Looks sweet though!

Who are you trying to fool.... And something tells me you don't buy anything with the thought of how much tires are going to cost you after 50,000 miles. You probably never keep a vehicle long enough to need tires....

Hold up on that car wash! Negative on that ring biz my friend! But I am all about buying that heater lamp thang. I am just waiting to get my bathroom tile in first, thats gonna make a mess when I install the lamp. Gotta take the old one out, some dry wall dust is gonna fall in the process, the tile will be easier to clean than carpeting.

Have her talk to my wife...she will be sold. The heated steering wheel is worth it this winter! Just went over Snoqualamie pass in a blinding snowstorm, best rig we've ever had in the snow. We even got the chance to rescue a young driver who thought they should pass us, and spun and won. I think she spun 6 times without hitting anyone. It was amazing.
