Never dived it, but I have jumped it when I was a teenager. Robert Moses Causeway, top of the drawbridge into the state channel, south shore of Long Island. If I recall it was about a 40 foot jump. Just gotta remember to go in straight.

There is a guy we ski with at the lake that was a Naval aviator stationed on a British Aircraft carrier. They have swim days where they anchor and let everyone take a dip. Well he jumped off of the flight deck into the Mediterranean, the second time he managed to talk a British Marine into it. Dude ain't right. He jumped off of our 'toon while underway. Did I mention that he is 6'6"?

That guy is NUTS!! Or at least he has brass nuts, because that is a great way to mess yourself up! Last year, we jumped off the pier into 4' of water... you had to wait for a swell, to get the water to about 7'... timing had to be JUST right!!

I have jumped off a cliff. I think it was just over 60'. I had running shoes on and it still killed my feet. Probably one of the dumber things I have ever done.
A few weeks later someone was killed doing the same jump. Apparrently just a few feet over from where we jumped there was a tree that was under the water!

I wiped out barefootin in a foot of water once. Did one summersault and ended up standing up in calf deep water. Can't say I want to try that again though:rolleyes:

I've done a 35' jump into 7' of water. I had a ski rope in my hands and no skis on my feet!

I did a few feet higher then that. Had the picture, but the @##%$% ex-wife stole all my pictures [/whineoff]. Took several days for my neck to stop hurting. Not one of my brightest moments, LOL
