I have two boats on my hands and i really need to sell at least one of them if not both.

What is the best way?
Trader on line seems to be popular but not in TN
Ebay? I have never tried selling anything on it before. Any suggestions?

Profile says 205V...that shouldn't be too difficult depending on its condition...what else?

The effectiveness of Craigslist probably varies from region to region, but after weeks of trying other venues I listed my I/O on Craigslist last year. I immediately had more than a dozen calls from all over the state and had the thing sold by the following weekend. On that last Saturday, at one point I had 4 different people driving as much as 140 miles to come look at the boat. I had several cellphone numbers to call for wave-off if I sold it. It was wild - and this was after several weeks of sitting at my dealer while he tried to sell it for me the previous year when I bought the MasterCraft.

I bought my 199 Maristar 230vrs about 2 mos. ago on www.usedboats.comIt gives you direct buyer/seller contact. Found it very well rub from the buyers side. Have not tried seller side.

War Eagle right back at you!

Erkoehler is also the best way to buy a MC boat as well!

I have a 205V and an 02 Malibu Wakesetter VLX. Both are pretty much loaded. I am renovating the house and buying the ol'sparkler for the misses and i need some cash! I would rather sell the VLX first and hold onto the 205v if possible. However, either way i need to sell at least one of them.

eltesoro,

How do you like the wake of the 205V vs. the VLX?
How do they compare in general? I just bought a 205V and I was between that and a '02 VLX.

thanks,

The 205v is IT! Although it may not be a completely fair comparison because i spent more time behind the 205v. I also road behind an 01 Supra SSV and it still was not as nice.

Better to sell now...Or wait till spring? I have a 1995 MAristar 230, 430 hours on the boat. Paid for, so I'm not making any payments.

Visiting colleges over the next couple of months, so now you know the why part of selling. I'll by another in a few years...
