Does anyone know if there is a detailed history of all the MC models, years of production, standard features etc?

That is a lot of information.

Anything in particular you are looking for?

Like hull changes, model years or something?

www.mastercraft.com home page, Knowledge Center has the owners manuals that pretty much list all the models and years if your just looking for a list.

I posted a similar question a few months ago. The short answer is no. But the guys here can answer just about any specific question you might have.

NSXBill posted a chronology of the PS 205 by year, hull, etc. Run a search for it.

X-5 is the wakeboard version of the 195 (first year for both was 2000). Both boats are the same hull as the Sportstar OB (first year was 1999). The Sportstar OB is the same as the Sportstar 19, but with an open bow carved out of it (not a lengthened 190 as was the 205. It had the same hull as the closed bow SS counterpart). The Sportstar was introduced midseason 1998 and has the same hull as the 1995-1997 Pro Star 190, but with a stripped down interior and, in 1998, a smaller (5.0) 265 hp engine stock, although I've seen at least one that had the LT-1 as an option.

As for the 190, there is some information here (http://www.6ballsports.com/Boats.html). Although I believe a few facts are a little off, i.e., the hull design for 87 was the same as 86, but had a different deck, etc. It's a good overview though.

I think MC went to 19 ft in 1979 added the power slot in 1980 could get deluxe interior in 1981 ( padded contoured motor box with square wind shield. Added hideway mirror in 1982, in 1983 passenger seat had hinge to access storage compartment in front, was also last year of metal flake until anniversary model. In 1984 new interior fabric was added, it loved suntan lotion and you couldn't get stains out. In 1985 boat went totally fiberglass with glass stringers, boat had a creeking sound but still is my favorite year because it was the end of the line for the stars and stripes. 1986 was a very ugly boat in my opinion but resembled the "85's" body. In 1987 the prostar was interduced, it had tip out vent windows, other years that followed didn't. Someone else will have to take over from here. I believe Rob shirley interduced these firsts on a ski boat. mirror for driver, wrap around rear facing seat, dual speedo's, ski platform, padded contoured motor cover, carpeting and probably some others I can't think of right now.

Good info. Although I believe the first glass stringers were introduced mid 1983.

That's one I'm very sure about. As far as what yours are made of, you'll know better than us.
