I hate to do it because it means the end of the season, but I winterized the boat today.
I took it out for one last ride so that I could warm everything up before changing the fluids. Water was down to 47 degrees. More or less about the same as the air. Been a GREAT summer though. I picked up my new 197, new personal best on the course (5 at 15 off, 32 MPH ), and I learned to barefoot longline. I put almost 60 hours on the new boat, plus about 10-15 on the old one before trading in. I hate for it to end, but I really can not complain about the year.

How much longer till SPRING???

Darn respectable year WTRSK1R....where do you ski?

Mine is going to get winterized next weekend. Hoping for one more footing outing on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning and then I'm pullin' the plug on the season, too.

Going slow...No skiing, golf, running, or dancing. I could do without the last 3! Thanks for asking.

Glad to help Mags....it was a slow day at the shop today anyways :(If it's so slow, how about I drag the boat up there and let you guys straighten the brakes out. I swear those thigs are dragging:mad: and they don't always release when I put it into reverse.............. "it's startin to Piss me off now!"

Air was mid 50's today and there was absolutely no wind. One of the guys I ski with called and asked if the boat was winterized. I briefly thought about taking it back out, but decided against it. Fertilized the yard instead. Not much of a trade off, but at least the grass will look good in spring.

No play today, rainy and windy in Jacksonville so I waxed the boat and waxed the trailer, my daughter thought I was crazy for the trailer waxing, but what the hell nothing else to do and man does it shine from top to bottom.

I think that is what you do when you are watching football with a cold adult beverage.
