I am much more a skier then a boater.
Skiing is my sport.I do enjoy a lot my MC but to me it's just like a chairlift to a snow skier!:)

I voted behind the wheel, but I'd rather be in the back seat with the bride!
On the serious side, there is nothing like a perfect timed [no PP] 38 off @34 mph pass with Chuck Forrest on the end of the rope. Drove him 2 sets of practice behind our boat @ Clear Lake, NC with no re-ride times. God, what a rush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What, No UMP option? Go directly to the Bayliner to start skiing and do not collect 200 posts!

I thought about the UMP option, but passed on it this time.

Also thought about a TMCNo1 Option: Oiling my teak

For me it is a toss up. I love skiing, but pulling the kids is just as much fun.

I enjoy pulling tricks, but when it comes to toehold tricks, I loose the drivers seat to Mrs. driver and pull the trick release.

I'm 50/50 as well. I love riding but teaching someone for the first time is a joy.:)

I spend a lot of time driving and pulling pin at the same time. You are amazed at how well you can drive with a knee.

It is a a trick question. Where is your favorite place IN your Mastrcraft? In my Mastercraft is definately behind the wheel. If it is outside the Mastercraft it would be behind a rope.

there are times that I really enjoy just sitting in the observers seat while someone else drives

I rarely get the opportunity to do that

I love to be behind the boat, and behind the wheel.
I love both places.

If I had to choose, it'd be the end of the rope. But when I'm not there, I like to be driving.

It's not a trick question, if the rope is attached to the pylon IN the boat and you are on the end of the rope, then I would think you are in the boat by association. Much like working in a attached garage or a detached garage, if the detached garage is connected to the house by a walkway, plumbing, electrical wiring or even a string it is technically attached. I've know several people who prefer the motor cover.

I voted behind the boat, but I really enjoying driving too. Especially when it is a new skier learning, or someone running a new personal best. :toast:

Mine is no question, the observer seat. I take tons of pictures. That is my fun in a ski outing. Besides when we get back I put the pictures in a slide show and the people who were on the rope like to look at what they did. That makes it fun for others too.

I chose driving since with the group I run with now, that is where I spend most of my time.

OT: After I voted the total % was 108.89??? Maybe Daylight Savings got to that too...

Behind the wheel for me. Ten years ago it would have been behind the boat without a doubt...but as I age, I find driving much more fun...

Oh, and Tex, I'm lovin' the new avatar!!! :friday:

still no better feeling for this guy than behind the boat having great pass, or great foot run with no one else on the lake and the only people that appreciate what you are doing are in the boat keeping your beer cold. It's funny that to me the best place is the same place (behind the boat) but movable (ANY LAKE)

gotta love it

I was mostly out b/c of my back this summer (see Skiing/Footing Gallery for the reason why) So I got well aquainted to the drivers seat. There is nothing like going from a P.O.S. Grew 4cyl. to a Prostar. She is such a treat to drive.

(If I could have been without the back injury I am sure I would have chosen behind the rope or at least off the boom)

Any were on the lake is the best place to be in your MC. But if I had to pick one it would be one the rope.
