View Full Version : Blower Hose

I was replacing a noisey blower in my 94 PS 205 and noticed the hose going to the back is badly torn. To replace this hose all the way to the back, do I have to pull the gas tank, or can I fish it through?
I hope I do not have to pull the tank as it is full (of course).
Also is the hose made of anything special or can I use dryer hose from Lowes or Home Depot?

I replaced mine last year while I had the engine cover and rear deck removed. At least on mine, the blower hose connected to about a one foot PVC pipe just behind the engine hatch and then went back to the rear. I just replaced mine up to that pipe.

Mine had a piece of PVC inside of the hose back there. But for some reason, mine was bad (I don't remember why)... anyway, I went to Home Depot & picked up some rigid(metal) dryer vent. Duct taped it in the middle of my hose between where it goes up at the rear to vent out & where it come out of the blower). Works great. Now I don't have to worry about a collapsed hose.
