So, with the stock OJ 13.7 X 15 4blade I am getting 4850rpms and 42.5 as a top end ... got a new Acme 3 blade (13.25 X 15) and I get 5050rpms and 43.3mph @ 45degrees and 2060elevation ... I do like the sound of the engine runing the Acme, but other than that nothing noticable

MCX 1.26:1

Not a big deal, I needed a spare prop anyway, but in case any of you were thinking of swapping props I thought it might be valuable info. I am going to have my local prop guy (Precision Propeller) do a bit of tweaking (put some cup in the Acme ... and take some diameter out of the OJ-or take a bit of cup out) ... I know Acme and OJ would tweak them, but I dont want to deal with shipping, and I like the local guy

must be ... I will take it out next year with a handheld GPS just to verify the 43.3 is accurate ... it was worth a shot:)

I switched from the stock cast OJ 14x18 to an Acme 847, which gave me better time to plane, better 0-30, and about 3-4 mph on the top end. The only problem is that my WOT RPM is 5250, slightly over the 5200 max allowable RPM for the MCX. It hasn't been a problem since I very rarely run at WOT anyway, but Bill Weeks, lead engineer at Acme, has been in contact and kind of wants me to send the prop in to add some cup. He thinks it won't affect acceleration much, but he wants to drop the WOT by about 100 RPM, and thinks that will get me over 50 mph.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I'm just a little skeptical about what that additional cup would do to acceleration in exchange for 50+ mph, and I'd much rather have the low end grunt than screaming top speed.
