Maeghan's boat for 2007! Pink metal flake L-18...custom graphics to come!

BTW, for those interested her 2006 L-18 powered boat is for sale. 50 hours old and loaded with all the By Design grills, lights, carpet etc... This is the same boat featured in the DuPont Registry with Maeghan. I know a couple of you out there were interested so it will be here next week.

Is that an X-1 or X-2 ?

I would so buy that color.

After seeing a few of the pros boats, I have now decided that I will go with a metal flake something on my next boat. Scratches and color matching if there is a repair be damned! Just looks so good.

Slate gray with silver metal flake X7....just might be my favorite since I cant get purple!!!

That boat looks great. Have I mentioned I like metalfalke?:D

Just a question but what does it take to get "custom" gelcoat. Does MC only do it for their pros? Will they do it for a dealer? Will they do it for any customer at a price? Or did you just happen to talk to the right person on the right day? Did you have to slip the guy spraying gel that day some custom gel from Spectra along with a handful of Benjamins? Did MC just happen to get a batch of pink metalflake by mistake and ask their dealers if anyone was interested? Again just wondering.

Custom gel is available to any customer and can be ordered through your local dealer. The added charge is determined by the factory but in this case you would be looking at two different charges. Hull #1 any color other than white and metal flake up charge.

If you want to build a custom boat ask your dealer to show you the color chart from Spectrum it is called "Polyester Jewels". If they don't have it they can order it from the factory.

So you can get a boat any color you want you don't have to be limited by the 'standard' MC colors?

If they would only allow metalflake above the rubrail. Didn't you say they wouldn't spray flake above the rail? A reverse Canadian Blue flake 190 would be the bees knees!

Will they do custom designs? Or do you have to stick with the basic gel scheme for that model?

About any color you want. Can't be in the boat (i.e. above the rub rail) or on the bottom...those are the rules.
