What's the craziest or most insane pull you ever saw or did yourself? :eek3:

Here's a friend, foot'n behind an airboat at 50 mph! :toast:

i skied in a show in a swimming pool in Japan. 2 boats, 2 wave runners. every pull was crazy. it was an olympic year so we did a relay race with girls driving wave runners and pulling us skiing on shoe skis and jumpers. it was wilder then nascar. "a little rubbing is racing".

a buddy of mine had a small egg shaped pond, we would wakeboard and kneeboard behind his four-wheeler. it made for great entertainment when we had parties!

I was pulled behind a friend's 37 foot Baja. Got up on the step off ski and then kicked it off. Wasn't good for doing wake crosses as the wake was quite high  . But did give a nice curl to do one-foots. :D

A good friend across the lake from us bought a 25 foot Chaparral deckboat about 3 years ago. It is known as the "Bus" (mentioned in other threads) because it is yellow and kinda looks like a bus. First day he had it out, I stepped off at about 42mph and was amazed at the curl from this boat. It was awesome  . Great boat to do one-foots longline. But defintiely a better boat to go out on when the water is bad than when it is smooth.

my parents used to have a all blue '89 four winns 200 horizon. we called it the blue whale, because of its size. the boat had a killer wake for kneeboarding and wakeboarding. it was also pretty good for footing.

I footed behind a 28 foot Chapperral. Lone line deepwater start.
I think I dragged for about 1/2 mile before it was going fast enough to stand up, once I was up it was not too bad.

How about waterskiing/barefooting behind a snowmobile (that itself is on the water)? That would be my wildest.

That was in last year's Warren Miller snow skiing flick. A Snow-mobile started out on snow, then went onto water. A guy in a dry-suit was footing behind it. WILD!

Tex,

Where did you live in Japan?

Shirahama, it is a little resort town that sits on the beach.

A few years ago one of the local news choppers followed along while a couple of our crew aired it out:

It was a blast! Watching the video there was a couple of times when the chopper had to back off because he was getting a bit close!
At the end, he flew right down over the bow of the boat & handed us our 2 way radio back..... it was a regular Vietnam flashback! ;)

Also rode behind a 45' SeaRay that the PM Magazine crew was on..... what a sick wake that was!

Hopefully my wife will buy the DVD for me for Christmas this year (she's on a pretty good roll). If so, I'll to grab a frame.

I know, I KNOW!! I didn't take any pics that day! GRRRR! No camera around.

I can't do it again until next spring, but I'll get pics then, and post them for sure. How's that?

Wait a minute, Tom. That was you in the Warren Miller film a couple of years back...? That scene was the best! But you didn't even get a free DVD from them? That sucks!

I didn't read his post to say that, but if that's the case, he may be my new hero.

LOL! I wish I had that "facility"! NO that wasn't me, but that's where I got my inspiration. I have to do a "shallow water start" in a small pond, on TWO skis, and then drop skis. If I had a tourny lake to do it on, and could start in the boat (off a boom) like they did, I'd be fired up!

Plus, I ride Polaris, not Doo's. ;)

Still, we do want to see those pictures of you footin' behind a sled in the springtime.

It seem to me I remember seeing a photo once of Scarpa barefooting behind a horse that was running along a canal.
Has anybody else see this?

We got dumped on a couple of years ago and decided to build a jump out of the pile of snow next to the driveway. We then took turns towing each other behind the '94 chevy 4X4. Doesnt quite pull like the Stars and Stripes, but still did a great job. Here is the before...

Another fun thing to do is to go tubing in a snowy parking lot. But you'd be advised to put on your motocross gear and not do it in a parking lot with light poles  I'm not sure what's more fun. Being the idiot getting spun around on the tube, or doing donuts for hours in the truck!

We have some of that adventure on video. We ended up parking a Ranger 4X4 in the driveway and jumping over that. It was a little intimidating staring down the truck the first time.

Sounds like the beginning of a Darwin award!

This is Darwin Award material: First take the fins off of your loaner wakeboard (I cant stress the loaner board enough). Wear some thick socks inside your bindings. Hook the rope to the bumper of your truck or 4-wheeler, Have fun. We like to do it where we jump our dirtbikes, only problem is it hurts when you fall . :toast:
