Been there done that, to the tune of $4800.00 on a new dirtbike and of course many nights of "man I have to have that"! Always after many many Sam Adams!

Jack continued! I was riding my favorite XR 400 through the hood tonight thinking about the KTM 300 I purchased off Fleebay. Great rides both but the KTM has a buyer. I buy all kinds of obsurd crap! I have my XR exactly as I want it now and Fleebay has helped! Funny you mentioned dirtbikes! Is there nothing else?

OK you may not like this but I have loaded up my Valkyrie there as well. I love Harley I am just not a V-Twin person. I love my Valk! Fleebay has helped me love it even more. Hope to ride with you some day! SouthEast sounds like a good destination. We need a TeamTalk Ride!
PS My Buddy has the same ride as yourself. Nice ride and enjoy!

Last time I was in Dallas it was 80 Sun,Mon,Tue,Wed and then Thursday it snowed (really an Ice Storm) the loop was deadlocked for 12+ hours and I just laughed about it. I had fun. If the damn major roads haden't been blocked I would have went to Fort Worth or OK.

The forcast here is about the same, but I think we have come to the end of Indian Summer, I'ts getting about 45-55 at night now and the high's are in the upper 70's this comming week. Last week was just like you advised above.

I used to have a Harley. A 1955 Panhead. Hardtail frame, raked 22, 13 over frontend and an alumininum ACRON 21" front. I sold the springer and traded it for a 13 over wideglide, keep my wheel. Then I traded the raked frame for a '49 rigid, cut the forks and made a lowrider out of it. I changed the rear brake (the only brake) to hydrolic, it sure worked better than the old mechanical.

Still, with no serious intention to your bike, I don't want another Harley ever. They have engineered those things to be a mechanical nightmare. Wait till you blow your regulator like a friend of mine did last summer. Insteed of it shorting or cutting the circuit to the system it delivered all the alternator power everywhere. Blowed every damn thing including his speedometer, brain, fuses, lights and his pocket.

I've had other bikes, dirt-street-drag-roadrace etc., but so far the best and most dependable bike I have ever owned is a Ducati 900SS. I have two of them and they are the only bikes I have never sent a valve or rod through the engine.

Last October I bought a Kawasaki 1500 Mean Streak. I haven't blown it up yet either. It only cost about 1/3 a new Harley and it is water cooled. Heck I have friends that own Harleys, several as a mater of fact. We went on the Vietnam Wall procession last Wed and most of the Harley riders I meet did'nt know what it was but made good comments about the sound and appearance.

377 registered riders escorted the WALL 35 miles, by the time we got there 400+ two wheelers were there. That was fun. Ride ON.

I enjoy watching people pay more for stuff than its actually worth on there anyway.
Try going to a swap meet.
I went to one yesterday you would have enjoyed. Some steals. It was a snowmobile swap meet and drag race event, but they had some bikes for cheap, and lots of parts.
All you have to do is get out of the "house" once and awhile and look around. There are ALOT better places to find what you are looking for than paying too much on that site....8p

Be careful, Bob will tell you you won't have to have 4X4 to get to the snow bank, if you have "Direct Deposit"!

Seriously though, I think he is refering to a Big Ole Pile of Snow that he ran into in his dream! He must have drank some real COLD ones before drifting off to sleep!
